Hello everyone,

I wonder if I need to apply for permanent residence card after I get my permanent residence visa, or is it part of the process and I just need to wait?

I am getting mixed responses from people.
some say that they got within 2 weeks after applying for it(there is an application that needs to be sent out and it is on CIC website)
while some said that there is no need to apply for the PR card and that it comes in the mail after the stamping...
unsure what is the right process..

Thanks for your reply veenupies. I was hearing mixed responses too, so I was wondering what is the right way to go. Does anyone know what the procedure is?

I am guessing people stop visiting the forums once they get the PR visa, that's why that will be though to get a proper answer :)
