Will there be anymore passport requests coming this year or are we done for this year. I had my medicals done in november and recieved confirmation by cic that they have recieved it. How long do i have wait for the passport request.

Hello Singhisking .. The medicals were delivered on 26th Nov .. and draft was encashed on 9th Dec . Hope this help .. good luck .. it is on the way ..keep chekcing your emails or your canada post everyday..

this wait is killing....and i applied with spouse and kid ..so CIC may take extra time in my case as they have to review medicals for 3 persons.

I am not sure why is it taking longer in my case as i applied as a single and they confirmed it end of nevember that they recieved my medical results. I to hope if it comes this week, it would be a perfect Xmas gift. I will keep you in my prayers that it comes soon.

Are you sure you got PPR email on 12th Dec, because 12-Dec was Sat and no immigration center work on Sat and Sun.

My ecas got updated saying "Medical received" on Dec 6th night which is a saturday...Still waiting for my passport request. Want to get this imm thing over with this yr.

When I 1st inquired about status, they replied the next day to me, however, when I now have more specific question they're silent for 3 days already (I have sent inquiry this Sunday, 13th Dec).

How long did it take to see the e-cas update since the Medical was successfully delivered? Postal tracking shows my medical was delivered to Ottawa on Nov 24. The fee was actually cashed on Nov 3. But my ecas still shows "in progress"... Thanks!

I am in same boat as you. Ecas still showing in process with no updates. I emailed them and they confirmed that the medicals have been recieved but no change in ecas status.

Thanks torontoguy! So they DID reply to confirm receiving of Medical? Did you use the request form on CIC website or just the email? How long did it take them to reply?
(I know for some people e-cas wasn't even updated after they got their passport!)

Guys…Let’s hope we get PPR in next 4-5 days (before Xmas).
This is holiday season… I am just trying to distract away from this immigration madness as Life is beautiful and we should enjoy it more instead of concentrating too much on the immigration process. Whatever happens, happens for good!!! let's enjoy this time of year and hope for best.

I just got reply from them today. It is the same copy and paste they send. They said the file is in process and they do not have a date when it will be completed.
Singhisking is there anything you heard. I to hope we get it within the next 4-5days.

have you lived in multiple countries??? i am guessing for those background check will take time....and for others it should be fairly simple!!

I didn't live in multiple countries, nevertheless.. But the reasons for BC are classified in fact.
The thing is either you get ppr along with everybody else near your timeline or prepare for a long wait.

for me this is 4 week in progress....let see how long i have to wait...and i noticed as per cases on trackit...i don't think anyone who submitted medicals in Nov ...received any communication from buffalo.

Sorry bro for late. Doctor office hold my report more than 2 weeks. I did medical on 5 nov but the ottawa received on 24nov. i called doctor office several times, they said they send report on 15 nov. first i cann't realised 15 is sunday and all courire and govt. offices are closed. Then i called again to doctor office, they said they send on 22 nov- it is also sunday. Then i have to be rude with doctor office and asked about right information, and finally said ottawa received the report on 24 nov. From that moment i know i am not getting it this year though some guy got. I am mentally taking preparation to enjoy my holidays without any good news from baffulo this year. So let's enjoy the holidays(who are like me).

way to go m991083! You must be happy that it's rather speedy in your case when a few "July-ers" are still waiting for request. Did you ever contact them checking your status since the medical was mailed?
