hello everyone,
I had applied my case in Dec.2008 and my sposorship was approved on 16th december. london office started processing my case on 14th january but after that i didnot get any response. Last week my wife sent email to immigration for checking the status of my application as there was no updates on Ecas. she has received an email stating that i am waiting for my fomal interview. i havenot received a letter from them but i wanted to know what can they ask ? if anybody know anything about interview that would be helpful.
many regrads,

I am guessing that the interview they will be giving you is the selection interview or so-called Marriage of Convenience interview. If so, they will ask questions about your relationship with your wife. How well you know her, her family and background etc. Do a search and you will find more detailed lists of questions. Immigration.ca and roadtocanada.com are good resources too.
Ecas is not often updated for outland applications. Mine just tells me when they started to process my husband's file - Aug 22. It is still in process in Havana. Your wife is lucky that they even responded to her e-mail since it is still early in your process.
Good luck, Jen

HI Sukhi,
If i may ask how far along is your app now? I am in the same boat as you but for me it's only been 5 months and i only have a client ID no--his paperwork has been in the london office for 3 months and he has not recieved anything - not even a file no?
Anythingyou can share would be great.
Cheers

You can check you status on CHC even you have file no. i have same client ID no and i can check on the website..If you need any help you can ask me i will send you the link.
Hope this will help you for understanding. Just tell him to keep patience and wait ..it takes average six months after starting from london..If you guys are lucky may be quick..

how do i send them an email...thanks for ur help
|
to simran28:
Hi Simran,
i don't have the file number as well. But you can check your status on the Ecas website..i am sending you the link for checking the status online...
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate....
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
if you will go this link you need to enter the client ID number, date of birth and nationality and then you can check the status of the application.
They don't reply to the email if it is processing time and for the six months they say it is under the processing time.... so waiting is the only option dear...hope you will get something soon...it is really hard to wait ..Best of Luck to everyone
If you get any problem let me know..........

Hi Sukhwinder, i guess we are both on thesame train, i just recieved an email today staing that i will need to attend an interview and the time and date will be sent to me in future date. it is so fustrating that they choose to delay one's application like this, but just as you said, there is nothing we can do than keep on waiting, please let us stay in touch and be keeping our selves up to date as the senario changes.
Thanks ,

Hi
Hang in there - i still haven't heard from them either - it's going to be 4 months next week --- may i ask who the email was sent from and did it arrive in your inbox (as opposed to your junk folder)? I thought they wuold communicate via snail mail as opposed to email.
Sukhi, hope your well. I still didn't get a file no for my husband. Maybe they don't send things intermittently - i only have a client ID no after our quebec processing.
Thanks guys

to simran28:
Hi,
the email came into my inbox directly, and it was sent via (re-london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca)
please let all those that are in for interview leave informations here so that we all can benefit from them and understand the partern and time at which interview dates are fix. So anyone waiting for an interview appointment should write down how long he or she has been waiting.
Dont just read this without leaving a comment, cos this is all we have for now.
This thread is for spouse visa PR
Thanks Guys,

Hi Simran,
Thanks i am fine. hope you are doing well as well. If your husband's case is progressing in London embassy you may not get File no. but i have sent you the link you can check you case by using ur client ID number.
it is a long wait dear..i am waiting from last six months.....which part of Canada you are living? if you send email to them for checking your application status it will come back into your inbox. you might have to wait long to get any reply back. if your case in processing time they might not reply back to you.
when i sent email to them it was already four moths so then they just reply me back that i am waiting for my interview but it is already three months gone i am still waiting. i don't know hat is happening in there office. i wish everyone will get some good news soon.
if you still get any problem for checking the status then let me know...best of luck

Hello Guys,
thanks so much for encouragin us all, A former immigration officer was saying that the so called interview is racial and biased, because 98% of the people put on long hold for interview are either Asians, Africans, South Americans and Non EU europeans.
So even when you an Asian but British born, they still put you on waiting que for interview which can take months .
This will be a very bad system and a shame to the Canadian immigration system, if these allegations are true.
I'm Asian but Born in the UK.
Do you guys think this information is a fact? Check the nationality of either you or your spouse and leave a comment about this Debate.
Thanks Guys.

to saltyng:
Hi Saltyng
I applied under FSW category and was asked for an interview at Buffalo in USA. With my experience, I can say that these allegations are not true. I am basically from India. I got initial letter informing me that I will have to appear for an interview and have been put in interview queue. After approximately 2 months, I received another letter mentioning date of interview and venue. I cant say anything about London CIC.
The interview itself was an awesome experience. The immigration officer was really amazing who asked me some questions, which were not clear to her with the documents, I submitted initially. Immediately after interview, she told me that my case has been approved and she handed me medical forms.
Thanks

to sandy00:
Hi Sandy00, thans for your reply, although this is said to be going on under the FAMILY CLASS sponsor, as most of the time the CHC immigration officers belief the applicants are economic migrants hiding under spouse visa class.
I know of a person who have not seen his wife for 17 months all because of this, his first application was lost by the staff after 3 months, his second application was left with a so called immigration Special Agent for 6 months before cic mississuaga started processing it, after wards he was told to add some more documents, al these took some more months and presently CHC London office told him that he will go through an interview.
Hmmm..... i wonder how stressed up he is right now.
So This if for guys applyig for permanent recidence under the Family Class. lets write down our experiences so far as it really comforts a million people out there.
So far this is the only meaningful Thread that discuss this issues so far. so please write some vital information down on when your application was in the visa office, date you were informed of interview, date you actually recieved your letter for interview and date they requested for your passport.
Lets keep the ball rolling for the sake of others going through the same visa stress right now.
Thanks Guys

Everyone who are waiting for interview, perhaps you should consider ordering CAIPS notes to give you an idea why they are requesting an interview or try to involve your MP that can help find more about your case.
Good luck to all of you!!!!

to sukhi1980:
hey how u doing--any luck on your end? listen i was wondering if my delay is due to the the fact though my husband lives in the Uk he's Indian by nationality so maybe that's why it's taking longer---i did submit reports for both end?...are u in teh same boat?
cheers

to simran28:
hI simram28,
you are 100% right, i have done my home work and most of the people waiting for this long processed interviews are people from minoroty countries from Asia and Africa, it's really a shame, that this type of practise is carried out. well let us just keep on the faith and wait, but i will like to know if you have information on how long some people waited before they got their interview letters. others that may have done their own interview, should please give us an average time for waiting before we can recieve our interview letter.
Thanks

Hello Sukhi,
ECAS just uploaded today, so i want to know if you have recieved any info about your interview date. We are on the same boat.
CHC is really dragging their feets when it comes to interviews, i wonder why it's so hard to fix a date for interview, do you think it's just a delaying tactise???
pls reply,
Cheers

to sukhi1980:
Hi Sukhi,
i was just told that the waiting time for an interview in London office is 8 months. so if you have been waiting since March/April this year, then expect your interview date to be around November/December. But i really hope they will not allow us all to wait for 8 months because its too long. Have you heard any info from them yet?
Cheers,
salty

hi all
I'm A UK citizen born in Middle-East had and e-mail on 23 July 09 from the London office saying i have to attend and interview, further details on the way.. and i'm still waiting !!!
|
to ansom:
Hi Ansom,
same with me too, it's just politics !!!. i got their email on 2nd july, So how long have your application been with London office,
from what i heard, it's a maximum of 8 waiting months if they want you to attend interview...
So say around october they will post you a letter to attend interview for January 2010.
This is really unfair to us but there is nothing we can do. Lets just pray they dont wait for that long before scheduling our interview.
We are on thesame boat, so lets keep our selves posted if anything happens.
take care,

Hi Sukhi1980, wow congratulations.
Did you first extend your UK visa before getting your canada visa, or did you travel back to India before you get your visa.
Congratulations again, I'm very happy for you man.
The waiting has finally ended for you. We are still hanging here till we get our own good news too.
Cheers

Hi everyone,
I am joining your boat. Just got an email yesterday that I need to attend a formal interview and that I should bring proof of continuing contact with my sponsor. I have been in the Uk for 2 yrs now. Seems like other nationalities are treated differently at the visa office.
Could you please let me know for how how you have been waiting?and how can i contact London to enquire about the interview date?
Please share your experience...
I am totally shattered and dont know where to start.
Thanks

Is there an email address where we can enquire about our case and when an interview will be arranged?
