Hi All,
I've just received a letter from the visa office in my country. It says that they received my application which I sent to Missasauga Office and they created a file with a file number. I wanted to check my status online with this file number which starts with the letter B and is followed by 9 numbers. The problem is that after I put this file number and continued with the second part which asked my family name, birthdate, etc., the file number I entered changed to 8 digits from 10 digits by itself and it didn't give my status info because it showed that I entered my file number wrong. I tried several times and everytime same problem occured. Is there anybody who understands what's going on and what the problem and the solution for that are?
Secondly, do you have any idea how long the processing time takes after they've created a file for an application?
Any information which could be helpful will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ayca

First you have to cjek IMMIGRATION FILE NUMBER then insert Bxxxxxxxxx and then your details of birth.
You are in Familly Class?

Yes I am in family class, my husband sponsors me. I did exactly samething, but after I entered the full file number then it changes itself to a 8 digits number. I don't get it. It is strange. I thought somebody might had same problem.

are you using the correct identification type?

Yes, I used everything correctly, but I tried it again and what happened was after I filled everything, I delete the file number ( because it again became 8 digit number from 10 digit ) and entered it again and then push to the enter then it was ok. It showed that it was in process. I hope I hear them soon.
