Please let me know if you guys received any documents request or Caips Updates or update in E- Cas status or file transfered to other consulate.
Looks like not much update since Jan 13 ,2010.

My file was transferred to Detroit on Feb 1st. My status shows "Received by the visa office" and shows the following details. Notice the last part, it repeated the "We transferred your application to the Detroit office". March 17, 2009 was when my application was transferred to Buffalo (From NS). My AOR was May 5th.
We received your application for permanent residence on March 2, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 13, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Detroit office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on March 17, 2009. The Detroit office may contact you.
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on February 1, 2010. The Detroit office may contact you.

Hi !! My friend file also tranfered to detroit december last week and he received documents request +RPRF+ Medical two weeks ago...Hope you will receive medical request soon!

Hello all, received an email today to say that our file has been transferred to LA. Any news on the speed of processing in LA?
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

The Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles will complete the analysis of your application and determine if a personal interview with a visa officer is required. Your file number remains the same.
The Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo no longer has your file. Therefore we cannot acknowledge or respond to future correspondence from you. Please do not submit any further documents or correspondence to this office. If IELTS or TEF test results are sent to us, they will be forwarded to the Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles.
In the event of a change in your address, marital status or family composition, inform the office noted above immediately . Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Los Angeles.
Do not request the status of your file within ninety (90) days of the date of this letter.
All future correspondence you receive will be from the office noted above.

I am not the patient sort and Canadian Immigration has really tested my patience. Definitely not for the faint hearted.
The watching and waiting is ridiculous.
Specially for us who have been working in Canada, paying tax and supporting the economy.
Ok thats my 2 cents worth of frustration.

Not yet so far. I will contact them if I did not receive any news within 90 days - per their email. I will update you when I found out something.

I applied to CIC on March 23. my file was transferred to Buffalo on April 15. No news since then. Status request says in queue awaiting initial assessment. Frustrating...

Same with me.
I applied on March25, 2009. Still nothing changed. Even some changes happen, what we can do will still be waiting...
Wondering if I am right to choose this way of my life?
