Not sure if someone had experienced this, but in our case after landing was completed & we applied for our regular crads etc in Canada returned back to US & everything went well. We rec'd our PR cards but for our kids who are US PP holders PR cards were not sent on the pretext of pictures not good. We were asked to go back to the city where we landed with kids to take pictures again in order for the immigration to issue their PR cards. I could not make it back again within such a short intervel for obvious reason. Instead wrote a letter to Nova Scotia explaining the inability to appear again so soon.

We did not hear anything from them in past 6 months but recently at our correspondance add in Canada again a registered letter has been sent. I am not sure about the contants of that letter but the post office would insist to give it to the owner only or else will return the same to the sender agency.

Any help, suggestion, advises!!!

You will be fine to work in US, but you may experience problem to keep you PR because you cannot stay in Canada.

Hi
Firstly, sorry if I am deviating your post. But I am looking for a advice from the people like you who received their PR cards.
I am planning to complete my landing formalities soon by road crossing the border at Niagara Falls, NY, USA. After landing formalities are done, I want to stay there in Canada for week or two and visit my home country, India and return to Canada couple of months later.
Looks like it will take anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks to get the PR Cards after the landing process completed.

Some of my friends staying Canada said that CIC will not send PR cards by mail to the correspondence address we give them at the time of Landing. Instead they send a letter to pick them from the local (nearest) CIC office in Canada. Is this true?

If I get the PR cards by mail, I can ask my friend to send them to home country by mail and so that I can use them to return to Canada next time.

Are the rules changed now, do u have any idea?

Thanks

I have a question --

I am in the US right now and say I want to apply for Canadian PR via AEO FSW route. If my PR is approved, what would the next steps be for me if I want to continue living in the US for a short term at the same employer who sponsored by AEO? So say I work for company A, and their Canadian branch sponsors me for AEO...can I continue to work for them in the US without any break in employment?
