Hi Jayj85
Me and wife applied on Apr-10-2009. Now we have a to wait.... But the problem is we don't know how accurate are those web site timing. Go thro the thread ....
Lot of people applied on Jan-2009 no mail / communication from the AINP office ( already three months gone).
Thanks

Hey 916137pa
I even applied during the first week of April through an Immigration Specialist(though I feel now, that was not neccesary!!) but wat I heard from them is that, they had many applicants who applied in Dec and just recently they did get to hear from AINP office.I even heard through the same forum, that people who applied in Nov-Dec they are getting responses now.
So becoz of huge application in flow,it takes min 3-4 months to hear from them.
Did anybody who applied in the month of Feb-March got any response?
Appreciate if you share your experiences with us.
Thx

to Parvati:

|
to Jayj85:

to sudha9:
I applied in first week of March and my application get there on March 9 and still waiting for any communication
|
to Faiz:
when i applied mid jan 09, it took approx 6 weeks to receive pnp nomination from alberta, feb 20. if you call the provincial office after 4 weeks you should be given a result over the tel, i was told my nomination was issued on feb 6 th. you can then start getting your application imm0008 forms sorted and the fees/police checks completed if not already done
|
to lewiejames:
Ones the province office receive the app .. do they give some reference number like in US(Receipt#)., or to know the status of app .. should we call them & just inquire with the passprot #...!
|
to Kristoper:
As far as I knw, they dont give any reference num once they recieve your docs. So,for your delivery confirmation they suggested to send through FedEx/UPS to track. The only notice we get to hear from them is the email with the file no. once they enter your application details into their system.
|
to lewiejames:
Hi lewiejames,
Can you please advise if you applied under the old or new process.
Thanks
|
Hi,
I sent my application form through USPS on 8th April. When I track the status online, it is shows "Your item is being processed by customs in CANADA." It is in this same status for the past 3 days. Does anyone knows how much time it takes to clear the customs in Canada?
Thanks!
|
to steelgrey:
Check with USPS customer service.
I shuldt take that long to clear customs since we are just sending the documents.Fedex documents are delivered within a day for ur info.Anyways just check with them
GoodLuck !
|
to Jayj85:
steelgrey,
as per my understanding if you get following message:
Into Foreign Customs, April 13, 2009, 11:14 pm, CANADA
then you will get another message like:
At Foreign Delivery Unit, April 20, 2009, 8:56 am, CANADA
Delivered Abroad, April 20, 2009, 9:43 am, CANADA
hope it will help.
I got following message:
Delivered Abroad, April 08, 2009, 9:43 am, CANADA
At Foreign Delivery Unit, April 08, 2009, 8:56 am, CANADA
Into Foreign Customs, April 02, 2009, 11:14 pm, CANADA
Arrived Abroad, April 02, 2009, 11:14 pm, CANADA
International Dispatch, March 31, 2009, 7:48 am, ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)
Acceptance, March 30, 2009, 11:03 am, SUNNYSIDE, NY 11104

Hey Shanta and Lewis,
I also get the same wording on USPS tracking online.
Not sure how long it will take to get the nomination

You do the police clearance once you submit paperwork after the invitation letter.
Thats what I was told but if you have any other information please let me know as well.

Hello Jayj85,
You will only receive a confirmation email and file reference number after your application has been pre-assessed and entered into AINP system for processing. (Pre-assessments can take up to 4 months provided the application submitted is complete; it may take up to 4 months to receive a file reference number).
Cheers!!

to canada376:
Hello Raman,
Its little uncertain but I would expect an AOR in 90 days after the "completed" application is sent to CIC. It also depends on the CIC Consulate.
Cheers!!

to SUKHMINDER:
Thanks Sukhinder !
U mean, 4 months for pre-assessent and 4 months for the file number? a total of 8months for 1 stage?

to Jayj85:
Yes Jayj85, you are correct in understanding.
|
to SUKHMINDER:
I disagree. March applicants got a file number in April from Alberta. File number does not mean anything. They just enter your details in a system and give a number which you can use for all further communication. I don't think they need 8 months just to give a file number. Giving file number is a part of pre-assessment.
4 months for pre-assessment (which includes giving file num)
4 months for giving nomination certificate
So, total 8 months
That's my understanding after looking at AINP website and reading forums.

Pre-assessments can take up to 4 months provided the application submitted is complete; it may take up to 4 months to receive a file reference number. So in your case it can be around August 3, 2009.

to meetsurya:
Hello meetsurya,
You can try with the last pay stub but I guess they *might* ask for the latest pay stub depending on when your application reaches the Program Officer's table(because after you send the application it takes about 4 months to get file number and another 4 months to get the decision about nomination)...so don't worry too much about it if you don't have the latest pay stub now....just send it anyways. Once they ask, you can find a way.
Photos specifications are required by CIC and not AINP. I don't think they would even care about the photos since they are not the ones to issue a Visa/PR. But anyways what I wanna emphasize is that the photos that are required to be attached on the CIC forms has to be strictly according to the specifications mentioned in the guidelines. You can try this http://www.epassportphoto.com/Wizard.aspx?count... and the photo specifications are http://www.ppt.gc.ca/cdn/photos.aspx?lang=eng. You can print 2 copies of 4x6 picture cards from Walgreens for 25 cents each so your total expense can be around 50 cents. or if you don't want that way then you need to goto Walmart along with the printed photo specifications and they can do it for you for about 15 dollars approx for 2/4 photos
If its mentioned that the forms needs to be attested then it has to be done by an authorized Notary.
Hope this helps!!

to SUKHMINDER:
Hi,
are u talking about Protech Immigations?
If yes,
I would please suggest you infact i would request you not to file your case through them.coz in past we had a very very bad experience with them. They are running their office from somewhere in punjab,India. They are a big time liers...
Alberta PNP you can file urself rather than spending your money on some false ppl...They don't even know how to file cases & what embassy requires.
So goahead file Alberta PNP on your own...u'll get suceess....
All the Best..

to Parvati:
Parvati,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
This is really helpful for many new comers.
I did talk to those Protech guys twice or thrice.I felt the same.
I even suggest you can do it by yourself!

jayj85 and parvathi..

I havent seen any other forum like trackitt for AINP..
I will post some more questions...please answer them...

Any suggestions for this question?
For filing the AINP application, do I need to attach photographs for the Immigration forms? I am at the first stage of sending my documents for pre-assessment.
Please advice.

to PRmein:
I got file no from AINP on 22 Apr, 2009 with following message.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Thank you for applying to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). This is to confirm receipt of your AINP application on March 4, 2009. A decision on your application may be made in approximately 8 months. Please note, however, that processing times vary depending on the volume of applications received.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
01/23/2009: AINP received application.
04/22/2009: AINP issued file no with another 8 months waiting time.
It was 2 months for pre-assessment and 3 for issuing nomination at that time.
Now it is 4 +4 months
email states another 8 months after issuing file no.
Do I have to wait for another 8 months or 4 months. tooo confusing. I expect to get nomination in next 4 months.
Thoughts ?

to PRmein:
Hello PRmein,
What I have seen from what other people who have just sent the application to AINP is that they are not attaching the photographs...so I guess its not mandatory.
Cheers!!
