AINP H1b stream - priority processing process |

hi all,
I've received my AINP file number in march 09 which states that i will receive my nomination in 50-60 days.
As you all know that after that, they've increased the processing time up to 4 months after getting the file number.
In the mean time, I already received job offer from an alberta employer. The AINP website vaguely mentions that people with job offer from an alberta employer will get priority processing.......
Does any one know what's the process for priority processing? It's been almost 3 months since I received my file number and now the employer can't wait any more. I may end up losing the job offer if I don't get my nomination soon.
Also, what's the process after getting nomination to start working for that employer? Do I need to separately apply for a temporary work permit? I understand that I'll not have to go through the lengthy LMO process.
Does any one know how long will it take to get a temporary work permit once I get the nomination?
Thanks in advance.

Gators,
You applied under "employer-driven scheme" or "Strategic Recruitment Stream"? Just so that others can also benefit from your case details, can you please post case details. Log in using your id and password, click on provincial nominee tracker and add you case.

to gators:
Even with the AINP approval you will not be able to work here. Only after getting PR you will be eligible to work.
You have to go through LMO process (check your job category) and then work permit.
Ask your employer to process LMO (check your job category, there are certain jobs which doesn't need LMO) if he wants you early.
Best Wishes

"Strategic Recruitment Stream"
Guys, One thing I know for sure is: I don't need to go through LMO process if I get a nomination. That's the point of nomination.

May be I am wrong about it. But just double check to avoid last minute surprise.
All the best

Hello Friends
i mailed my AINP kit - US H1-B and they received on May 21, 2009 buy postmark date is May 15, 2009.
today i received an email saying the following. not sure what that mean?
i created one email for AINP application process only. i got this from them to that email
Email:
AINP US Visa Holder Category Applicants
Priority processing will be given to those who have a job offer from an Alberta Employer.
If you have a job offer from an Alberta employer send us a copy of the offer along with the job description. Click here
A job offer can be your contract or letter of employment from an Alberta employer. The job offer must be in a field related to your current occupation in the US. The document must be on the official letterhead of the Alberta employer you will be working for.
Download our Websites for Alberta Job Seekers document to assist you in finding a job in Alberta.
Email end:
it seems they entered the application into the system.
will i get another email stating file number ....

Hi
I have got the same email two days back, i dont know what does it mean, as per AINP the (H1B holder) does not require any job offer from canada to qualify for the provincial nomination. Did you call them?

Yes Please mention that which technology you are in?
|
how long does it take for PR to come if you do not have offer letter? Any idea? Also how long does it take for PR to come if you do not have offer letter? the point is whether it is worth the efforts for finding job in alberta before getting PR?
|
to nikhilsane:
Under H1B SRS AINP program, It will take around 14-15 months if you don't have a job offer (This includes nomination time as well) and If you have offer then it will take 10-12 months to get PR Visa.
|
to gators:
Hi, Can you please update on how did you get job offer from Alberta? Which sites? Any guidance will be helpful.
Also, did you already move? If so, congrats :)
