I had applied in the month of Feb-2008 for Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program under Family Support. But still i haven't recevied any acknowledgement from that side. Pls tell me when i will get that and how much maximum processing time they will take to finalise my application.

What are the stages that i have to clear to get my visa.

Hi!

I understand you are so worry about it. Best way is "be patient" and “get a hope.” Acknowledgement letter is not important; some of my friends get Letter of Approval without it. In addition, you may ask about Receipt Letter to MPNP after checking your mailing address. My case of MPNP, it took a year.
I don’t know It is good answer or not.

Good luck!!

Hi
My application approved in last month. When someone applies, MPNP will send receipt letter that say something like "we got your application.” It takes 1 month. If you didn't get it, you may try to make phone call and ask. Application processes time is nobody don’t know. Maybe your information is right.

We had an application for Provincial Nominee under the Family Stream wherein my wife is the principal because she has a first cousin who is a resident of Manitoba. I have 2 brothers in Canada but they are resident of Toronto. Our application was denied because Manitoba believes that we cannot establish that our ties with Manitoba is stronger than Toronto. Another reason they gave was on our only visit to Canada on 2005 we only went to Toronto. We sent an appeal letter explaining that we didn't go to Manitoba in 2005 because we had just met our sponsor in the Philippines and we decided because of lack of time to just visit my brothers in Toronto which we haven't seen since they migrated to Canada. Our appeal letter was also denied. We would appreciate it very much if someone can give us advise on what's the best step we can do. Thanks in advance.

hi guyam58.I also got denied becasue of same reason(stronger ties in another province). I can appeal the case within 60 days and i find it hard to dispute the "stronger ties". How long did the decision for the appeal came out?

How long does it take to receive a file number? we we're able to receive a confirmation last Feb 2008 that our application was received when we made a follow up but then we don't have any updates after that. Our application was received last Sept 2007. Is there a website where we can check the status of our application?

Hello romisab,

You are welcome...I just shared what I knew lil bit. I dont have filed an MPNP application. As far as my status is concerned, I have to send the papers to the CIC Buffalo. AINP Alberta has sent my nomination certificate directly to Canadian High Commission, Buffalo. You will be able to check your status online only after your application has been received in the Canadian High Commission and they have updated the eCas. Sometimes it takes time to update the system. If you got the email acknowledgment then you are in good shape. In that email I guess they would have mentioned the time frame in which you will get a reply from them...In my opinion it normally should take 60-90 days.

Some useful sites in my opinion are :
http://www2.immigratemanitoba.com/browse

http://www.gov.mb.ca/labour/

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/...

http://www.soscanada2000.com/migration/newact/p...

Hope this helps.

Rose,

I think you need to wait until June ~ Oct this year because sometimes ittakes morethan a year before they send your approval letter. To give you an idea I sent my application to Manitoba last August 2007 and I got m,ay approval Oct 2008.

Rose,

Yes Im on Family Support Stream (Skilled Worker). I have my brother and two sisters who live at Manitoba. I did not put any intended occupation on my application. According to my approval i'll be technical support for computers bec. I finished computer science and approval said that even i finished my course, it doesn't mean that i can get a job inline with my course its depends on me.

Dear All

I would like to apply as point system for Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program from India.
but I'm not much aware about below:
1) what are their requirements for this state. (Re. reletives, lettes from friens etc.)
2) List of Occupations tp apply is same as normal or for Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is there any separate list of occupications.

If anyone can please spare some time to advise on above will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

No need to go to DFA (red ribon). Just went to an attorney then just notarized. Sometimes there are free noarized on your local municipal.
Like mine I went to our municipal then I saw "Libreng Notaryo". It cost 100~150 pesos for a single documents to be notarized so that is so
costly right?

May i know what is the difference between "Letter of Approval" and "Nomination Letter"? How much is the processing fee and permanent resident fee? How much is the medical fee per person? Do we have a choice which doctor/hospital?

I submitted my application last January 2009 under General Stream. Will I receive an email or just a mail as acknowledgement?
