Dear Skilled Catagory Bangladeshi Applicants,
WELCOME TO ALL!
From now onwards let us start discussing only "in this TOPIC" so that it will be easy for all of us to track on issues relevant to all of us who have applied through the CHC/CIC in Singapore.
As a first step let us first log in all our names and the date of applications so that we will easily get an idea about how many of us are in the queue rather than searching trough page by page of the tracker. "Then it is your FORUM".....ask, discuss, inform, get informed, it will remain all open to all of you.
Cheers!

Dear Bangladeshi brothers and sisters,
I thank you very much for your voluntary participation quite in advance. I have come to know that there are quite a few Bangladeshis registered in the "Trackitt.com", of whom, most have applied through the CIC in Singapore for their PR status in Canada.
I have posted exactly the same message with exactly the same thread in
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-di...
AND in
http://www.immigration.ca/discussion2/...
as well. In this site, I can see (till now) that some 44 people have already viewed my message in the federal worker's discussion forum and 16 people in the Quebec forum, of whom I believe that most are Bangladeshis. Very surprisingly, there is not a single response yet, which may create a mixed notion among us....I don't know, why do we need to be so remarkably secret or isolated?! Are we shy?! Are we not social enough?! I do not believe that we are conservatives!!! There clearly and surely is a problem!!!!!
Trust me; I just tried to bring us in front of a certain crowd, with the name tag of our beloved country. With all YOUR help, I just tried to open up the door so that all Bangladeshis could come in, meet each other, and communicate to each other so that we could identify our weaknesses and problems in the field of Canada Immigration Process. Naturally, this EFFORT would make us stronger only and in the long run a lot more Bangladeshi applicants would benefit from it.
Dear brothers and sisters, may I request you to stay always in touch? I do not know whether you also have registered in other Forums similar to this one, if yes, would you please positively mind to act and respond there too. I humbly urge all of you for our social and moral unity. Will you please cooperate with me! I promise you my brothers and sisters that actually in the long run you will not cooperate just with me but with the whole nation.
Wish you all the best brothers and sisters.

Have had my baby's medical done
Dear All,
Yesterday, 4th of June’ 2009, I had had my baby’s medical tests done. For babies it is quite simple…they just take measurement of Head, Height and Weight. Then the doctor does a common (as it seems from out side) practice with his / her stethoscope. And, that’s all for a child. Where as an adult should pass through Eye test, Blood test, Chest X-ray, and measure weight in addition.
You know that there is a list of DMPs (Designated Medical Practitioners) in Bangladesh and all of them are based in Dhaka. Please check the following link;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?Co...
Please note that all these doctors do not charge the same. For an example, at Dr.
Abdul Wahab’s place the charge is Taka, 2000/= per adult. And Taka, 900/= per child. Plus there is Taka, 1000/= for mailing charge (usually by TNT, which may cover medical reports of the whole family if weight is not too much) to Singapore. But, with Dr.
Merlyn Rebecca Rosario the charge is Taka, 3000/= per adult. So, please contact all of them (as there are only 5 of them) to verify the charges and to make an appointment (if necessary).
Thank you.

Hello shanta;
We already had informed Towhida within a few hours of her query which was about 11 days back from this date. I suppose that contacting the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka did not happen to be quite helpful to her unfortunately.
Thanks for your advice though.
By the way, could you please inform us about “how Bangladeshi citizens (never resided abroad), may receive a job offer in Canada to apply under the [provincial nomination programme]!” Actually we have received quite a few queries regarding this topic and Bangladeshis are usually not quite aware of their strength and weakness for such programme.
Thank you.

HOW TO COLLECT THE PCC FOR DHAKA RESIDENTS
All Dhaka residents must collect their PCC / Police Clearance Certificate from the DMP Head Quarter in Ramna. Please be sure, it is obviously not the Ramna Thana, but near the Police Station.
In the DMP, they call it a "One Stop Service", which in reality takes around one week to receive a PCC.
To claim the PCC from the Ramna DMP, Each applicant / claimer of the PCC is supposed to go through the following procedures;
a) Pay and Collect a Receipt/Chaalan (3 copies, one for the Bank, One for the DMP and One for you) from any "Sonali Bank" of Taka250/=
* Now there is a 13 digit code to mention at the TOP of this Receipt which is 1220100012681, be careful to mention it properly.
b) Go to the DMP Head Quarter in Ramna with that Receipt and a copy of your passport and an APPLICATION (with your signature) clarifying why you need a PCC. (I would recommend carrying your passport as well as two copies of PP size recent photographs, just in case).
c) Take a Receipt from the Duty officer/clerk with a Delivery Date.
***Be sure, that there will be a Police Verification procedure done by your local Police Station/ Thana.
To receive an early result better you inform your Local PS, in advance regarding your Application in the DMP.
***Regarding Sonali Bank Chaalan, what should I say!? "Actually each branch is supposed to have it. I remember, I got it at Baridhara branch which is now moved to Nadda Bazaar, I could receive only one copy of the Chaalan, as I gave 50 taka Baksheesh to the Bank clerk. Then I had to make 3 copies for me of the Chaalan and gave the remaining copy back to the clerk. Well, it saved time for me than fumbling for it in another branch.
***About the application at the DMP, it is TIME saving, if you can prepare in advance simply on an A4 white page. For me and my wife's case I did not have to provide any PP size photo.
*** THE RESIDENTS OF OTHER CITIES AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR NEAREST POLICE STATION/ THANA FOR INFORMATION.

A RECENT EXPERIENCE OF INTERVIEW OF A BANGLADESHI COUPLE
(Taken from the postings of trackitt.com and slightly eddited)
Hi,
We just got back from our interview. It was an easy process. But my husband got extremely nervous and couldn’t even answer those easy questions like “What are you duties at work”. She gave him several chances to correct himself but he messed up the whole situation.
She didn’t refuse our application on our face. But she said:
“At this point I am not satisfied with your answers. I will go now and review your application and the required job description one more time and mail you my decision to the address where we have been mailing all your letters.”
The IO was straightforward but very supportive as she clearly tried to correct my husband and gave him chances to repeat his job duties about 4 times.
If I was the IO I would have rejected the application. So if she rejects our application can’t blame her in anyway.
Hi all
received our Medicals and State PC request today. Thanks to Allah that the IO considered our case.
Thanks to all of you for being supportive.
Here are the details of our interview:
IO. Can I see your passports please?
A. We gave her our passports.
IO. Did you bring your police clearance?
A. We gave her our Police clearance.
IO. If we process your application any farther, we will need your Minnesota police clearance.
IO. (Asked me) When did you complete your degree in US?
A. Did not complete.
IO. Are you still in school?
A. No
IO. Do you have status in US?
A. No
IO. Since when you are out of status?
A. Since 2005.
IO. How do you support your self?
A. My husband works and I work too as a graphic artist.
IO. Do you have work permit?
A. No.
IO. (Asked my husband) Do you have status in US?
A. No.
IO. Do you work?
A. Yes.
IO. Do you have work permit in US?
A. No.
IO. Have you been to Bangladesh since 2004?
A. No
IO. Where do you work and what is your current position in the company?
A. I work at ******* as an assistant store Manager.
IO. But you applied as a Restaurant Manager.
A. Mam. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager.
IO. Do you have any other documents related to your employment?
A. I gave her My updated Reference letter and recent pay stubs. Including one from my other job.
IO. Hmm…What do you do at other job?
A. I Take care of a brain injured person.
IO. What are your duties there?
A. (Don’t know why, he got very nervous, and mumbled while explaining his job duties) he said I take him for shopping, biking, help him cooking etc (actually don’t remember exactly what he said)
IO. (Doesn’t look very satisfied with his explanation) So what do you do as an assistant restaurant manager?
A. (he mumbled again) he said handling customer, dispatching, deal with customer complain, order food.
IO. I don’t see anything you do as a manger here. I can only visualize you behind the cash register. Tell me your job duties as a manager?
A. (Again he messed up, he couldn’t understand )
He answered wrong and instead of saying “I do this or that” he said “we do this and that”)
IO. You see, when you say we do, it does not seem to me you are in charge of the store, you should say “I do”. So what are your duties? What do you do in the store when you are in charge?
A. I take care of the marketing stuff like door hanging, advice my manager measures to be taken to run the at store even better ( he was extremely nervous at this point and don’t remember exactly what he said).
IO. Ok. Who is in charge of Hire and fire?
A. I have to report my manager if need to fire an employee.
IO. Ok. I am not satisfied with your answers. But I’ll go now and review your application and the job requirements one more time. And mail you my decision to the address where we have been sending all your letters. So that is all for now (she smiled a little bit).
Interview was for about 20 min (max)

to Sohel09:
JOB EXPERIENCE LETTER
Well, this issue can be a very technical one. I have observed that many people have experienced such problems in different countries.
In some countries, some employers may refuse to issue an "Experience Certificate" to an employee as his / her job/contract is yet not finished / terminated with certain company.
In each case for the above concern, it has always been advised to contact and request the employer to issue at least an "Attestation" in the first choice.
In an "Attestation/ To Whom It May Concern" it should clearly be mentioned the Name, Nationality, Date of Birth, Present Designation, Job Starting date (with other / previous designations.....if applicable only), Working Time limit (at least 40 hours/ Week in most cases for full time jobs), Elaborate Job descriptions / Duties of the employee.
Now please be sure that the Employer must produce an "Attestation / To Whom It May Concern" on the "Company's Letterhead".
If it does not work, an applicant may have problems to prove his / her job experience and areas of "Main Duties." However, in such difficulties please inform the CIC in detail in "Black and White" why you can not provide an "Experience Certificate”. But once again, such incident only leaves you for the kind consideration of the Immigration Officer.
Although Pay Slips are NOT AT ALL the method to prove your “Job Experience” it is neither the best nor the only way to prove your occupation/ employment status. However to prove your occupation status, you MAY provide copies of "Bank Cheques" for each month (for all salaries that have been received till this date) or, ask your Bank whether they can produce you some sort of Statements that show the detail information (specially your employer's account information from where the salary comes) for your all previous salaries. Or, you may try to collect tax receipts as proofs.

Subject: Choosing NOC in new 38 categories
Hi Bangladeshi Friends!!!
I have something to say for choosing my NOC
I can not make decision for my eligibility for applying under new FSW. In which category (New 38 NOCs), I should apply considering my education and work Ex. as described below?
1. Master of Science in Mathematics(UNIVERSITY)
2. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics(UNIVERSITY)
3. Presently working in a Government College as a fulltime Mathematics Lecturer under Mathematics Department (BCS Education)
4. Taking mathematics classes for higher secondary and degree classes for the last 3 years at that college (June 2006 - June 2009)
5. 2 years experience as a mathematics teacher for O and A level classes in an English medium school. (April 2004 - april 2006)
Am I belongs to NOC 4131? and it states
4131 College and Other Vocational Instructors
This unit group includes instructors who teach applied arts, academic, technical and vocational subjects to students at community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. This unit group also includes trainers who are employed by private training establishments, companies, community agencies and governments to deliver internal training or development courses. College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group.
• mathematics teacher – college level
In the above statement, it is not clear whether I'm eligible for applying or not as I'm not a teacher of any community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. It is mentioned also "College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group".
But I'm not the head of the department at present nor before. I'm working as a mathematics lecturer in a general government college teaching the students of higher secondary and degree classes.
Hence, can u help me to find out the accurate category, so that I can apply for FSW ?
waiting for ur kind reply......

to mhiqbal:
Hello mhiqbal;
Welcome to the "ALL BANGLADESHI APPLICANTS FORUM". We are very sorry to make you a delayed reply. Let me request you first to register in the "Federal Skilled Worker" Tracker / Discussion Section of this Forum.
Well, according to your description, I personally think that you possess all required qualifications and experiences to claim point for the NOC4131. I believe that you have already checked the following two links;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/...
to check the NOC38. Please Note that If you are not sure if you should apply as a skilled worker, you can use the Eligibility Tool (Bottom of this page) to get an idea of whether your application would be eligible for processing.
And
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Qu...
***In the SECOND WEB LINK; you have a quick search option (on top left) to enter any 4-digit NOC code or your “Best Possible Job Title” to check. So, the first thing will be to select One or More Suitable "Job Title/s." Then check its "Main Duties/Responsibilities." Please note it carefully that I prefer to tell everyone to try to select More than ONE suitable "Job Title/s."
Now concerning someone's eligibility for the Canadian PR, I personally think that "Job Duties/Responsibilities" do have a huge or maximum impact on "Job Title/s." and your related Education. So, if you are not the Head of Departments, will it make a big difference?
I am very optimistic about you and my personal suggestion would be please Go for it. If it does not work you will lose nothing.
Does anyone have other ideas?
***Please try to visit and place your further queries in the following link;

Good-luck and thank you.

PROBABLE FORMAT FOR A CV
Dear All;
Please note that the formats of CV along with the PR Application can be different for each individual. I also have sometimes questioned myself regarding this matter...and finally came to such conclusion that it is neither for a purpose of employment, nor for a purpose of educational admission But at the same time it must serve a proper professional purpose. Well, before giving you the format of my idea, let me genuinely ask all of you to make your valuable evaluations and suggestions (on my format), so that you can always consider of different other formats of your best choice.
Here is the format of my Consideration;
Name:
Address:
E-mail:
Career Summary:
Special Qualifications: (If applicable to support your career)
Employment History: 1, 2, 3……
Duties/Responsibilities: 1, 2, 3…...
Academic Qualifications: (Preferable in a chart with Starting and Finishing Dates as well as Grades / Divisions/ Special Distinctions etc.)
Training Summary: [All Professional and Educational (Placements or Internships) Trainings, with Starting and Finishing Dates... if applicable, preferable in a chart]
Professional Qualifications: (If applicable…Qualifications in ONE or MORE Professional Departments…Administration, Sales, PR, IT etc.)
Specializations: (If applicable to support your Professional Qualifications...such as a Paediatrician among Doctors)
IT and computer knowledge: (For All non IT professionals it MAY just be General Computer and Internet Operating Knowledge)
Extra Curricular Activities: (If applicable)
Language Proficiency: (Depending on the best proficiency, first start either with English or French, then mention your Mother Tongue in Serial 3…. then others if applicable)
Personal Details: (Date of Birth, Blood Group, Marital Status, Children’s Information, Someone may also include their Parents and Sibling’s Information)
Reference/s: ( If applicable)
Well that would be quite a Long CV….If possible, please try to make it Bit Shorter. What do you think?
Thank you.

AGE LIMIT TO OBTAIN A BANGLADESH PASSPORT!?
Dear All;
I have faced the above question in other forums like this one.
Well, I am not quite sure whether somewhere it is clearly mentioned about the age limit for a Bangladeshi citizen to hold his / her own valid passport.
Although, I think that a Bangladeshi citizen having age of 15 years and above can independently apply for his / her own passport.
However, regarding the validity of ONE's Signature to apply for a Bangladeshi passport, the age limit is 12 years and above. Below the age of twelve, I think Either of the Parents or a legitimate guardian is authorized to Sign On Behalf of each child.

RECEIVED THE “Long Waited PPR” !!!
Dear All;
My “Long Waited PPR” letter has just reached yesterday dated 23rd of June’ 2009. I myself can drop the passport/s putting inside an envelope no less than 8 inches x 12 inches dimension, to the “Local CHC” in Baridhara, Dhaka (which is just a few minutes walking distance from my home) sticking a “Barcode” at the back of the passport/s provided by the CIC in Singapore. I have got 60 days to do so starting from the 23rd of June’ 2009.
Once the PR visa is stamped, the CHC will inform me either by post or by telephone to withdraw my passport/s “In-Person” from the CHC. Please note that submitting and withdrawing one’s passport/s personally to/from the CHC in Dhaka is optional and a form called Appendix “A” is also provided to fill up and submit with the passport/s along with 4 recent photos. This Appendix “A” is a very simple form which contains information like your and your family members’ names, their genders, date of births, current heights, colour of eyes submitting passport numbers, their expiry dates, your contact numbers etc.
I wish all of you all the best of luck!
Thank you.
