| Help With Landing in Canada and bringing your own vehicle with you |
|
When you land you need to have your passport (with your visa), your CORPS and B4-goods to follow inventorty list. You should also give them an address to where they send the PR card. If you don't have an address you can provide them with your address later on.
Before you import the vehical you must export it. In order to export you need to own the car as you need the original title. No financial institute will allow you to export a car owned by the bank. You can't import the car unless it has a valid US CBP export stamp on the title. Although I've read some people on this forum as sucessfully imported a car that wasn't exported - but they have comitted an illigal export and may get arrested and charged for auto theft as soon as they go back to the US.
If you just got the car and can't afford to pay it off in full, a possible alternative for you is to transfer the lease to GM Finance Canada. Give it a try. |
