My case was tranferred to LA April 22, 09. So, our cases have the same timeline. But I wait now for almost 2 and half month for a response from LA. No sign of activity so far. I am afraid they have started a in-depth background check for my mandatory military service 20 years ago. Kind pf stiupd, Germany was never in a war with anybody since 64 years. And I need the decision in 2 weeks otherwise I loose my job because my work visa extension was rejected. Loosing the job here in the current grim economy situation means the basis and reason for my life is vanished. That means also the whole reason for my application is gone. Lets hope that the common sense prevails and they make a quick decision.

No, not a single word. My wife sent a case inquiry two weeks ago to find out the reason for the dealy. We have sent everything, there should not any question. My wife is getting nervous because work visa is expired and will start to look for new job soon. I cannot afford, mentally, to sit here in Canada for a infinite time and wait for CIC to finish their work.
I studied the immigration forums and there is a lot of complaining about the Canadian process. And there is a lot of complain not on the Internet. A friend of mine from Australia got his PR after 20 month through the PNP. The passport were requested and sent to CIC. And then they lost them. So, my friend cancelled the passport and request new ones for 2K and when sent them the old one re-appeared. No joke. There is something fundamentelly wrong in Canada with accountability.
I also found out that CIC has a few scheme they work with. The first 50 % (Buffalo claims this completion first 5 month) completed are cases are mainly woman, students , people in their 20 or early 30's with almost no history or simple background information. Thats what a IO can decide without making a major mistake which could cost him his job. The rest of us will be exposed to a long and painfull background check by CSIS. And this process needs time and is in most of the cases not justified because there is no criminal history or something suspicious . I guess the average IO is just not competent enough or too stupid to notice the differences.

Manmeet

Got finally my PPR. Since you received already the visa I have a question regarding the photos for the visa. The letter from LA says they want "new" photos. I am intending to send the same photos I have used for the PR application. These photos are taken in January 09 and I have not changed my appearance. Did you send "new" pictures or new ones ?
