I just wanted to say hi. We are both going through the same Embassy and you are ahead of me. The embassy in Rabat has certainly slowed down compared to what it was doing two short years ago! I know there was an increase in applications due to the preference for foreign workers but that should decrease now given the state of the economy. I've also seen more reports of marriage fraud from Morocco so maybe they have increased the scrutiny. I'm definitely not worried about that and can even understand it but the increased timelines certainly make it harder to wait. I see that your AOR date is the end of September so hopefully your spouse will be getting a call for an interview any day now. I just wanted to wish you luck! I know how hard the waiting is. Take care and stay strong.

Hi! Nice to hear from you. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I hope you are enjoying yourself in Morocco. I'm heading back for the 8th time on April 1st. Just two weeks for a friend's wedding. I'm also going back in July as I don't believe my husband's application will be finished by then. Earliest I see him getting an interview is July.

We've got an active thread going on another site, www.immigration.ca and you are more than welcome to join us. Just some Canadian wives chatting about our Moroccan husbands! Take care.

So it seems the embassy in Rabat has lots of action going on this month! You should hear something anyday now! Best of luck!

Wow! They really are moving! Send both. Don't second guess, just send it all. Maybe you will hear something before you have to head back home. Very best of luck to you and please keep me posted if you hear something! Take care and enjoy Morocco!

From what I've seen, you get the visa shortly after you send in the documents! No interview! I hope so for you! good luck!

Usually it takes about a month to get an answer after re doing the medical. I'm happy that everything is good for you, it looks like it's just a matter of time and you will have the visa.

LOL, I press submit too fast... no my husband did not get the call yet. We are still waiting patiently one day and chewing our nails the next... But it'll come when it's time. For now, I'm planning my summer vacation wich is in 7 weeks. Good luck again!

mrskme is right, about a month for the results of the medical to be processed. The doctor sends them to Paris which is the central processing office for all medicals in Europe and North Africa. They then send the results back to the embassy. Did they request his passport?

I know it's frustrating but stay as patient as you can. You are very near the end of this. Just do what they tell you as quickly as possible. And I wouldn't "mail" the new police certificate. I would either hand deliver or send it by courier. I don't trust the mail in Morocco! You are still with your husband for another week and it could just be one more month after you leave for everything to be finished! Piece of cake! Stay strong and focused.

Any news on your husband's file? It's been almost a month now since they requested the new documents. Was your husband able to get his medical re-done right away? I'm hoping you hear something soon!

We haven't heard a thing yet. Hopefully they will contact your husband next week to let him know about the visa! I'm going to be there again at the end of July so maybe they will interview him while I'm there. We now are hoping that he will be here by the end of September/beginning of October. Good luck! I hope you hear something soon.
