I have the same receipt date as yours...showing LUD 01/01/07...no other news so far. I called USCIS and they said processing only Oct '06...so call back later. The attorney never updates me.
In fact, my cousin's LUD still showing the original date even though there was an RFE 4 months ago and his case was later rejected upon providing info for RFE2 months ago...LUD never changed and still shows 'case in process'.

GcGirl,
I am in the exact situation as my case also shows the same LUD 1/1/2007 and I got the same response on calling the uscis. Earlier I was myself in a panic mode, but now I have decided, to sit tight and patiently untill the USCIS processing dates reach Dec 4th' 2006. My friendly advice to you would be to do the same.

If you are sure that yours is a simple and straight forward case, I hardly doubt that anything can wrong.

Best of luck,

RC

Do you know why it took so long to get your 140 approved? did you do anything to expedite the process? mine has been pending for 270 days, still no news :(

I have no clue why it took so long. Was a very simple and straight forward case with no complications at all.

I did nothing to expediate it.

Thanks,
RC
