Hi,

Your case looks very similar to mine. Could you tell me where you got the LIN number from? I see that my checks have been cashed online....

Thanks for the info in advance!

LIN# is on the back of the check... Not all banks post both sides of check images.... You may call USCIS now to get the LIN # also as your checks have been encashed.. Or call you bank to get the back side image of checks...

Did you have any LUD on I-140 before you got checks cashed?
Posted by ajju on 18 Aug 2007
No LUD in I-140 ever after filing I-485... so I don't know why many people get LUD on I-140.. I don't see any correlation..

Posted by ajju on 12 Aug 2008
kubmilegagc, no updates yet... My case was transferred to Houston, TX (local office) on 7/23... Not sure why... Even IO don't know why (source: infopass)... So keeping fingers crossed... How about ur case??

still hanging in there - pending in NSC - last LUD 08/04/2008 (soft) - had couple of LUDs before 7/29, 08/03...we just moved so I am wondering those could be change of address... This is insane wait ----cant take it anymore :(....are you from Houston TX?
Posted by ajju on 12 Aug 2008
nope.. I am in California.. never lived in Texas... But found that it was not a mistaken move.. as CSC don't process Employmnet based... Hopefully the additional review is random and should be quick.. I am thinking to stop looing for status everyday (actually 2-3 times a day) and just check my emails for CRIS mail.. This way I can reduce unnecessary tension.. Things will happen when they've to.. Did my part already with calls and infopass.. keep hanging and divert your attention in the mean time...

Hi Ajju,
My PD is 01/2004(NE) and case has been transferred to Newark,NJ on 05/28/2008. After that there was no update. When i called USCIS, they said my name check is not yet cleared. So does name check really matters now? Since my case has been filed almost a year back(more than 180 days). Any thoughts?

Name check should not matter.. but there are other bckground checks that must be clear...
