Hi Gcgcgc: Hearty congratulations on your 140 approval. I have few questions for you. I guess you filed your 485 non concurrently and the notice date shows 29th Nov. Was it current during that time? I think USCIS allowed the filing of 485 during July/Aug 2007 and may be few months before that (only for few days) another time. Correct me if I am worng. Another question is, what is name check (Is it some thing like back ground check?) and at what point it is initiated? Can it happen as soon as on files the 485 or after the approval of 140? Or is it totally unrelated to 140? I appreciate your comments. Thanks in advance.
