My case is quite similar to yours. Took infopass couple of weeks ago and found that name check pending for me as well. Please update whenever its approved.

My RD & ND are almost same. I called the IO in Nebraska today. She says, they can not reveal if name check is complete when the case is pending. says, it is FBI stuff.
Hi rsk123, when case is approved, does it say, if the name check is complete. I know, one need not bother about name check, once case is approved.

I dont think my NC is complete.
As per ombusdman's enquiry my NC was initiated on June 22,2007 and It was not complete as of April 15,2008.
My case was approved as per new USCIS memo on FBI name checks.
Do you know if your case is assigned to an officer?. Mine was assigned to an officer around 5th may 2008.
I did send a fax to local congress woman to do status enquiry on my case, and it was approved 2 days after that.
I am not sure congress member's intevention helped or not.
