congratulations!

Hello dipols...

Thanks for the comments. The 3 emails I received were related to the card production of the EAD. Are you saying that this implies that my I485 is approved too?
Posted by dipols on 21 Dec 2006
sorry JerIst, I misread the form for which you added the comment. EAD card unfortunately doesnt mean that 485 is approved. it looks like that Just the emails are the same "card production ordered".
I take back my previous comments, sorry about that!
Will be more careful next time.

Congratulations man
One quick question. Is it true that after you get your green card that you can NOT leave the USA for a one year period?
Posted by JerIst on 27 Mar 2008
Salam Anafiz,

Thank you and I wish you a quick approval too.

No this is not true of course... I know many people who immediately left after they got the GC. The on year story is different, it basically means that you should not stay outside the US for more than a year, else, you will have to request a return VISA before coming back. In other words, staying away for more than a year could be assumed as if you are abandoning your LPR status.

darslee, many thanks for you best wishes, and good luck with your applications... :)

annan627,

Thank you very much for your nice words... It has been a long journey that we have started around the same time frame.

All is well as long as it ends well.... I wish you a great future.

Best,
JerIst
