Congratulations
That was really fast - I have the same receipt date as you, although my I140 is regular.
Do you have any idea why yours is an express case?
Posted by MrVulcan on 27 Apr 2007
Thanks. Now just waiting for the 485 to be approved, but the two LUD:s yestarday, and today indicate it will be soon.

The reason my I-140 was done in 5 days is that it was premium processing and that my lawyer/paralegal did a great job preparing the paperwork. I was more suprised that my LC was certified in only 3 days. When I got around to ask my employer to go and check the status online it had already been approved for a week!

oh
i think i am mistaking - i thought everything had been approved. not looking very well
You seems to have so many LUDs on your I485, I have only got one, only after fingerprinting.
Lets hope the one today is any approval for you.
 Posted by guru1004 on 27 Apr 2007
Let's us know when your 485 is approved.
thx

I only had one LUD too, the day after FP, but now I have two more from today and yesterday. No change of status on the site yet though .... I'll keep you posted.
Posted by acrossdot on 15 May 2007
Hey ThomasB
What are the LUDs of 26th and 27th April for? I see that our case looks similar except that you did pp processing.
There hasnt being any LUD on my case since fingerprinting.
Also, I applied for EAD, receipt date is May 3rd and we have not heard from USCIS - is this normal or what?
Thank you.

I don't know. The only thing I can think of is name check comming back, but why should that take two days?
Posted by tashmatts on 25 May 2007
Hello ThomasB, I too have one LUD after FP and 2 LUDs a month back and nothing happened after that and status never changed. Anyone clarified on this? Thank you.
Posted by MrVulcan on 29 May 2007
Tashmatts,

I was guessing between the name check coming back or my case being pre-screen for adjucation. Since I didn't think getting the name check back would require two days of processing, I was leaning towards pre-processing, but I got a RFE today (don't know regarding what yet even if I guess TB skin test), so I guess I was wrong.

My guess now is that it either was name check, or that they pre-processed everything except the medical. If the RFE is about the skin test that is.

Hi ThomasB
Let us know what your RFE is about . . .
I guess they are finally treating our cases . . .
Posted by tashmatts on 29 May 2007
Thanks ThomasB.
I tried to know about the status from TSC but so far not successful.

Hello Bud, thanks for your clarification post re LUD. very helpful. You are about 43 days ahead of me with similar PD. I have been hearing rumors that the new immigration reform bill if passed will wipe off EBs and cut visa nos by 90,000 in october. If that's the case., then atleast EB2 for ROW will go back by 1 year minimum...Hope case gets approved before that...but still, is quite bothersome..so what is your thought re: this or have you done some studies.if yes, will you please put some light on this bud?
Posted by MrVulcan on 01 Jun 2007
Hi Abacus,
I think both you and I will have gotten our green cards approved before the bill is passed and takes effect. What I have heard about the bill is also that one priority is to eliminate the backlogs. That to me means that people that have already applied should be processed before new rules are in place, and that usually means that the old rules will apply.
When/if the bill is passed the EB categories will be replaced by the point system, and people will be prioritized according to that. I think that will actually be a better system than what we have now, especially since the LC process will be gone. Also, the quota for merit based (education and skills) immigration will increase, not decrease. Still the size of the quotas and who should be prioritized are some of the things that are still discussed.
You can read some things here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070531-19.html

Hi acrossdot and every one else,
Got the RFE letter today. As I suspected it was about TB skin test. I went to the civil surgeon last Friday and had the test done since I was 95% sure that was what they wanted. It was negative, 0 mm reaction. I had a BCG vaccination when I was a child, almost 40 years ago. I heard that if you had BCG you could get a severe reaction and even scaring, but then I learned that if the BCG is more than 10 years old it usually don't leave a positive reaction. In my case there was no reaction at all.

FedEx? My lawer said it has to be sent by USPS EMS because of P.O. box...
Posted by MrVulcan on 08 Jun 2007
Your lawyer is wrong! You cannot FedEx a P.o. box but there is a courier address that my lawyer used (put the P.O box in parenthesis):
United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Texas Service Center
(P.O. Box 852381) [or whatever P.O Box you were assigned]
4141 St. Augustine Rd.
Dallas, TX 75227

I got a LUD on Sunday 6/10! Anyone else ever got a LUD on a Sunday?
Posted by acrossdot on 11 Jun 2007
I guess someone is working overtime on your application :) My fingerprinting appointment was on Saturday.
Never heard of LUD on weekend. Meanwhile, I have a question, I have an LUD on 06/07 for my I131 but no update on the status and no email about it, is this normal?
 Posted by gcin07 on 11 Jun 2007
LUD is an automatic process. The information is fed into the database, it remains in queue for sometime, and may appear on a weekend. I had LUD on EAD on Saturday.

Thomas,
Please let me know how lond did it take you to get your I-485 approved after you submit the second medical examinations.
I need to submit second medical examinations because of the TB test.
Posted by MrVulcan on 14 Jun 2007
vnavarrete74,
As you can see in my case above it took 7 days from RFE Reply Date to I-485 Approval Date. For some it is faster, for some it takes longer ....
Posted by acrossdot on 15 Jun 2007
Hey ThomasB
I am just being curious - is your EB2 filing in the science/tech industry?
Posted by MrVulcan on 15 Jun 2007
Yes, I am a Sr. Software Engineer.
Posted by nitejc on 18 Jun 2007
cool.. so another case that adds to my theory of RFE == close to adjudication..

Hi Thomas, I'm new in this forum.

I just wanna ask u a quick question regarding my EAD and my green card case

Here's my timeline:
ND - 04/27/07
biometrics taken - 05/8/07
EAD's LUD - 05/21/07 (but the status haven't changed "On April 27, we received ... "
GC's LUD - 06/06/07 (the status still " Case has been transferred to CSC and pending.."

btw, my EAD is in NBC.. (receipt starts with MSC#..) and my GC is in california service center.. and my lawyer filed them together with I-130..

After i did the biometrics, how come the status never changed to "we received fingerprints blah2.." do u think this is normal processing? and do u think when do i get my EAD? it's been 60 days now since the notice date.. i heard it would take 90 days for processing.. but im confused, is it 90 days after FP or after ND?

thanks in advance! congratulations on your greencard!! :)
I hope i could get mine soon..
Posted by melemelex on 26 Jun 2007
ooppss sorry about my mistake earlier..

Here's the correction:
I did my biometrics on May,18/07..

Thank you

Hi Thomas,

Quick Question:

I got the Card and A I797 Approval notice, is it the same as Welcome notice or is that different, when did you receive it. Also I am worried as I did not receive a card for my spouse, only the approval notice, any ideas and suggestions would be welcome. I called USCIS and was told to wait for 30 days.
Posted by ITMD on 27 Aug 2007
Hi Thomas,
I got notices that my applications (485,AP,EAD) got transferred to Omaha ,NE on 08/01 in order to speed up the processing.
Do you have any idea what could be the reason for this transfer.
Omaha, NE is not my local district office. I am a Maryland Resident.
Posted by sharkmd on 30 Aug 2007
hello ThomasB, can I just ask if aside from the card and paper letter welcoming the new resident--did you receive any other papers from USCIS? am in the process of moving so just want to make sure i got everything from them before my 10 days is up. thanks again.

OMG!! i was soo close in guessing ur age!!!
Anywayz when I did my ST, Dr said it was positive and he took Xrays..but he did not include them in the sealed package we sent to uscis.. he just gave me small envelope..so I know there was no xrays…now I see soooooooo many ppl getting RFEs on medical coz of dr’s mistakes…I am worried abt mine..do we need to sent xrays if our ST was positive?
thanks Buzz
Posted by MrVulcan on 21 Jun 2008
Yes, you were spot on. But do you mean I will get younger if I start using the F-word more?
Don't worry about the X-rays. I did X-rays instead of the ST and got an RFE that I had to do the ST, but they didn't incluse the actual X-rays in the enevelope, just the result. Its my understanding that that is standard procedure. The radiologist sees the actual photo and sends an interpretation to the physician. The physician is only interested in the pictures if the result of the X-ray is positive or unclear.
As I understand it too, it is the IO and not a USCIS physician that looks at the mediacals, and they usually don't have a clue on how to read an X-ray.
