palguy,
Any news about your I-485? Your PD is feb 2007 and current processing times are of august 2007. My PD is in april 2007.
I am thiking about opening a SR. Any thoughts?

Palguy,
Read your answer. Let me ask you for your suggestion regarding my case. My 485 has PD of April, 2007. My first finger printing was in May 2007. Now, when I applied for renewal of my EAD, they asked for new fingerprinting (June 2008). I am not sure, if Finger printing for EAD renewal is good for 485 as well?
Do you think I should file a SR for my 485?

Mostly I40 approval without RFE 485 approve within 15 days. If some body not response must be prepare mind He/She will get RFE. Common RFE specialy (INDIAN or Pakistani) delay birth registration.
Regarding my case I have RFE same for my all family mebers. and second finger print require.

For My sons and wife: hospital birth certificate and national registration B form, School /Matric certificate. But the problem they want both parents name in the documents, I did a leater or affidivate from My consulate office. Note: provide as possible as possible documents nearst your D of birth.

For my case: Affidavit from my uncle and mother's friend they verify my date of Birth/place of birth and Parents name. Second Matric Certf. and Counsulate letter. Some time they accept father or mother affidivate because my case I don't have both parents.

Hey Palguy,
Any news on your 485? Its almost 80 days for you (and 50 days for me!) after 140 approvals...

Hey,
I dont know when would we hear something. I called them up last week, IO refused to give me any information, but then offered to file a SR. I did not request SR (because my lawyer had told me earlier that filing SR would almost guarantee a RFE).
Let sit tight, and see what happens.

Best,

Palguy,
I am trying to figure out if my gc was approved on basis of my eb2/niw application or eb2/perm application.
The code on my approved 485 is E26.
May I ask what is the code on your approved GC?
 Posted by dd123 on 14 Dec 2008
Thanks man,
I looked at this link, but I couldn't find the answer to my question. Do you have any ideas/thoughts?
 Posted by dd123 on 15 Dec 2008
Thanks, Palguy,
You are probably right: I may never figure it out!
Spoke to my lawyer, the reasons why he thinks its related to NIW application is:
1. The priority date on NIW -140 and approved 485 is same (Different than PERM based I-140)
2. PERM based EB2 was at TSC. NIW 140 was at Nebraska. And approved 485 came from Nebraska.

What do you think, how solid are these reasons?

Hey,
Hope all is well at your end. Finally I got approval yesterday.
Out of curiousity, are you aware of the rules regarding I-94 and NSEER, after getting green card, meaning:
1. Should I return my I-94s on the port of entery ( I have been in US for almost 9 years, on multiple extensions of H1, so I hava bunch of I-94s, all with the same number, though.
2. NSEER. Should I still do it, when I am travelling on green card?

Thanks.

Thanks for the Long reply.
Eid Mubarik.
I agree with your logic. It makes sense. I am planning to travel by march/april. Please let me know, how does it go, when you come back.
Cheers!

Hey,
hope you are enjoying your trip. One more question for you: Do you need to get your passport stamped after getting GC?

Thanks.
