I was surprised and elated.

Monamar,

question for you: Do you still register with USCIS everytime you travel in and out of the country?
Posted by monamar on 12 Sep 2007
answer for klpd4dc, I went overseas twice and neither time I registered with USCIS, which I think I should have. Currently I have an RFE on my application for AP. The IO who generated the RFE is expecting to see the FIN# on my latest I-94. My lawyer has responded to the RFE and I have not seen any progress since then, other than a change in LUD with a change in message that says,"We received your response to our RFE...."

I just received my EAD card today. So at this point, me and my wife have three applications pending:485s for both of us and that AP for me.

if I were in your shoes, knowing your case status, I would not leave for BD till Christmas. Both Christmas and Eid ul Adha are falling one after another this year. So, I would strongly recommend sacrificing Eid Ul Fitr.

Monamar,

January processing time is really bad for all of us. They are processing now 11 months back application. Hope, it will be again 6 months next time.

however much that variable seems optimistic/pessimistic, it is literally a piece of junk information. It changes like a yo-yo month to month. Do a quick sort on the trackitt website database after filtering for approved 485, for TSC and sorted by approved date in descending order. You will notice that most of the recently approved cases were received by uscis in March, 2007 or later. This is just a sample, but substantially large enough sample.

For many people like me who are Asian Muslims, the picture is entirely different due to just one bottleneck-namecheck. Everything for me have been cleared and approved except NC. Everything for my wife have been cleared and approved, including NC. But since she is secodnary applicant, she is stuck with me. So far, no strategy has been proven to be able to influence/expedite NC.

Hi Monamar - I just got the magic "Notice mailed welcoming new permanent resident email" - how about you?

Congratulations!!!

I am still waiting. Called up TSC couple of times lately, only to hear that, my case has not even been assigned to an officer.

Have fun!

Are you changing job? I am dying to, although my job is very secured and well-compensated. I believe I deserve better.

Hi - I'm not 100% sure yet - probably not changing for a while. I saw your note just now on my profile asking if I ever check my messages there - clearly not that often ;-)

I wish you all the very best with your application - it's hellish waiting

Hey Monamar - no dependent - so n/a.

As my twin you absolutely have the right to ask! I'm so pleased for you - nearly as pleased as I am for me!
