Checks cashed in bank. But when I get the SRC number and typed in USCIS to check status it says Retrieval Failed. Is this normal.

I think I've seen similar on IV and I was reading on uscis faq

seems it's possible they have not yet input it in system. are you having same problem with all your SRC numbers???

We saw the same error for all the 6 SRC numbers.
