I-485 Tracker: Discuss Individual Case
Hi! I am watching your case as it is similar to mine. I am also a schedule A nurse and I filed on July 31. I hope to see your case moving 'cause that will also make me feel good about my case. As of now, I still got nothing about my case...no checks cashed...no Notice of Receipts...no nothing yet...just got a confirmed FEDEX tracking that my application was received on July 31 at Lincoln, NE by C. HOUGE.
'hope you don't mind me stalking your case...hehehe! Still nothing. Seems to be all over the map for who is getting checks cashed. Some July 2 filers are still waiting while others from July 17th and later are getting checks cashed. Did you do concurrent 1-485 and I-140?
Yes, I did concurrent filing. It is the only opportunity for me to do it so I grabbed it....my application was filed on the last day for concurrent filing because it was only on the last week I learned that I can file for I-140 and AOS....lucky for me, I was able to get it filed but still, I am scared that my application may be returned due to incomplete application, although my lawyer is very sure that he sent 'complete' documents with all 'initial evidences'.
The only way to determine if the application is complete is if USCIS accepts it and send Receipt Notices. There are a lot of documents that must be sent when you are an RN (visa screen, RN license, etc.) but at least no labor certification is required. I have been waiting since Nov of last year. I just missed the schedule A that was available up to October of last year (darn it), so now I have to wait with all the other EB3 people. I am quite nervous about how well USCIS will be able to handle this huge number of applications without making a mess of things. I will feel better when I at least get a receipt. If they lose my application, it could be many years before I can apply again. I think I would just give up and go home!
ey, any up-date?
I already got my receipts. My lawyer got it I mean and he's sending it today to me. I checked the LIN numbers he gave me and they were all "received and pending" status.
How about yours? Today (Spet 13) I noticed my checks were cashed Sept 12, and application was processed on the 11th. It was transfered to Texas, how bout you, also transfered? Dont have receipts from lawyer yet.
Congrats on getting your receipts. Now the long wait begins! Hopefully schedule A will come back at some point. Mine was LIN numbers and not transferred...next wait: Fingerprint Notice...have you got yours already?
No FP notice yet, I don't even have receipts in hand yet, just got all the info off the back of the check and from the USCIS case tracker online. My lawyer is slow to do everything, I've heard if you miss your FP appt, your AOS is considered abandoned! So many ways to get messed up in this current system. Traveling with AP has been a problem for some also.
Siskind has posted on his site that he thinks there will be Schedule A relief legislation soon in the senate, but who knows if it has a chance. That would be a dream, as we could possibly have our green cards in less than a year. I-140 processing may be slow though and there is no premium processing available to speed that up. I hope to receive my FP notice soon and yeah, there are too many ways to mess up the process and one of those is missing the FP appointment. I heard the we have 6 months to do FP and then, if we fail to do it, it will be considered abandoned. I am hopeful that Schedule A Visa be available this year...it will be like a dream...really! Let's hope and pray for it.
My lawyer advised me not to apply for AP as he thought it is risky to use it. I am not taking any risk. We applied for AP but won't risk using it unless we have a real emergency (death in the family or something - heaven forbid). We live in AZ, so most of our family members like to come down here (from Canada) in the winter time anyway, so we still get to see almost everybody. I will let you know when we get FP appt and EAD, etc.
Wow, you already got Fp appointment. I am yet to receive mine but I feel it will come next week. I have soft LUD this week. Did you get one as well?
No LUD changes at all, just got the FP appt notices out of the blue by mail which was a pleasant surprise. They didn't give us much warning, but we will make it down there come hell or high water. Trying to reschedule seems risky as it can only be done through the mail. We are eagerly awaiting the EAD's so my spouse can get to work. It is showing as taking 11 weeks and we are already at almost 10 weeks so we should hopefully have them soon!
As expected, I got my FP notice last week and it is for Oct. 5.
Next Wait: EAD Expectation: Last week of October JunRn,
Have you signed up for automatic updates from USCIS yet? It is quite handy, they send you an email whenever you LUD changes on any of your receipt numbers, and they tell you what the new status is. They sent me an email on Sept 27th, saying my EAD was approved and card production has been ordered. Still haven't gotten the card yet. Haven't got any update on my husbands EAD yet, hopefully that will be soon. cingrats. I'm a schedule A nurse as well. Any LUDs
