AOS Interview Tracker: Discuss Individual Case

AOS Interview:  Cleared
User: stueym Labor Filing Date: 23 Apr 2003
I-485 Received Date: 08 Jun 2007 Transferred to NBC: 03 Jun 2008
Interview Notice Issued: 14 Aug 2008 Interview Notice Received: 19 Aug 2008
Interview Date: 01 Oct 2008 Interview Location: Philadelphia, PA
Interview Status: cleared Nationality: United Kingdom
Interview Experience: Very simple interview with female officer Dawson. All family invited in at first appointment time. Sworn in together. Went methodically through checking Passport, date of last entry, I-485 form biographical info then questions on Page 3. Asked to confirm signature on form. Asked for all I-94's and stapled each to each of our files. I noticed on the front of my son's file there was an inter office memo, which I assume documented the fact that he was protected under CSPA from age out.

Once she had done the above for the whole family, she asked me (primary applicant) information about my company, aksed if I had a new EVL which I handed to her. She then asked what my company did and what my qualificatiosn were, but did not ask for any documentation. She did look at file while I was explaining but made no notes.

In the end she said I will jut check that your date is okay. I muttered I hope so as it is OCtober 1 and she looked up and smiled. She checked her screen, scanned the barcode on my I-485 form. She said thank you you will hear from us when we have finished processing your case. My daughter then said "Does that mean we have our green cards" She smiled and said you should hear from us in around 30 days.

Callowhill office was quiet when we arrived with no more than 5 groups in front of us, although we did have to wait until 8:25 (appt 8:00). We were done and back in the car by 9:10am.

Now the frustrating wait to see if we get email in next couple of days or we get stuck again.
Notes: You will never believe it. Asleep at 2:35am EDT, my 21 yr old son bursts in to tell us that he made one last check of USCIS site before he was going to bed. He saw that the cases had a date of 10/1/08 and thought, oh right a soft LUD. He clicked to see

Hello, I tracked your post and looks like you have your GC approved after interview.
Did they approve you on spot or did they follow up email in a later time? How much time there to get your approval finalize?
Thanks and congrats..

They did NOT approve us on the spot. We had to leave not knowing. Interview took around 40 minutes total after waiting 45 minutes past our appointment time, both of which we expected to be honest.

We did not even get email as I believe that CRIS is still not working to this date. We have not had any emails since the transfer to NBC.

As my notes say, my son checked the USCIS site for our cases by logging in to our account and woke us at 2:35 am to tell us we had CPO update. So that was around 18 hours after our actual appointments.
