Hello,

We have the same interview date in Newark,NJ. Are you taking your lawyer with you? Thanks

I spoke to my company lawyer and he said USCIS never give any extra benefits taking lawyer with them. I am going to talk to outside lawyer this Friday. Let's see what she suggest. What time is your Interview? Are your case employement based. My priority date is current. What about yours? Everyone is saying if you don't have any arrest record then you don't need to bring any lawyer with you. I will let you know if I decide to take lawyer with me.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I spoke with my husband's company lawyer and he said that it is recommended to take lawyer with me since it is uncommon to be called for interview when it is employment based GC. But, not sure if he's telling the truth (you know what i'm saying =) ). I'm just a derivative and my husband's case was approved 2.5 months ago. My interview is at 11 am. And yours? Are you married also?

Went for fingerprinting twice since the first one was unreadable.

And made a mistake during filing. Didn't enter the correct employer details in the g-325 biographical form (since my H1 was still in process). This is my concern.

Please keep me posted. Thanks and God bless us.

Hey,

My Interview is @ 9.30 a.m. Yes, I am married. We both recieved Interview letter. I spoke with another Lawyer last friday and she aslo said Lawyer cannot change their decision or argue with them in worst case scenario. All he/she can do is accompany with you. Its always recommended to take Lawyer if you ever have arrested or done something illegal and you had expunge letter from court. Those things Lawyer can explain better than us. And don't worry they will always say take Lawyer with you because they want to make money. I am sure it will cost you atleast $1000 if any lawyer accompany with you. Its not unusal to get an Interview in Employement based GC. 10% randomly picked for Interview and We are one of them.

For your case I am sure the reason they called you because of fingerprint unreadable. One of my friend had the same problem and they told him he needs to get Police Certificate from local precint and after he submitted his certificate his case got approved within a week. Another reason could be you have made a mistake in g-325 form. I think they would like to verify with original document. I am not taking Lawyer with me because I think I can explain better than my Lawyer but there is no harm taking Lawyer with you.

Don't worry too much some of things are beyond our control. Good Luck.

Hello rahmak,

I appreciate your response a lot. Thanks!

As for the mistake I made in the g-325 form, you mentioned that they might want to verify the original document. Would you mind me asking which original document were you referring to?

Do we need an affidavit of support? This was listed in the interview notice.

Thanks again!

Good luck to us and God bless

Hey Eldrick,

Like you mentioned in your post. You have entered an incorrect employer details. They might want to see the original Employer Verification Letter not the photocopy one. That's what I meant.

Yes, I believe you need to fill up the Affidavit of Support form. Download I-134 from USCIS website and notarized.

Are you taking Lawyer with you?

Thanks

Hey,

Sorry if I confused you. But, I didnt even enter company B's details in the form (since my H1 transfer was still in process). I wasnt sure what to put at that time. So, I just entered Company A's details still. But, once I give them my W2 (during the interview), it will show company B's details. Will this cause a problem? Any advice?

As for the lawyer, I'm just gonna consult them next week. So, not sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again.
