AOS Interview Tracker: Discuss Individual Case

AOS Interview:  Cleared
User: sheponline Labor Filing Date:
I-485 Received Date: 16 Aug 2007 Transferred to NBC: 21 Jul 2008
Interview Notice Issued: 06 Oct 2008 Interview Notice Received: 11 Oct 2008
Interview Date: 12 Nov 2008 Interview Location: San Antonio, TX
Interview Status: cleared Nationality: Canada
Interview Experience: Very easy interview
- Interview was at 8 and I arrived at 7:40 - they called my name almost immediately after I sat down. I was done and out the door by 8:05

I repeated 'the oath'. He asked me a series of questions (eg do you or have you ever belonged to a communist party etc). He reviewed the contents of my I-485 file and checked it for completeness. Only additional document that he asked for was a letter stating my current employment (no changes in my employer at all) which I had with me. ( i had EVERYTHING with me).

Apparently my biometrics (that were taken in San Antonio Nov 14 07) had not been updated in the system at Lincoln Nebraska. He telephoned and San Antonio verified that the biometrics were done and complete.

He then said "Congratulations" and stamped my passport. Only then was there any small talk. I found out that his wife is Canadian and we talked about Texas Longhorns.
