AOS Interview Tracker: Discuss Individual Case
Hello,
I'm also from the Philippines. My interview will be on Nov.3 at Newark, New Jersey. I'm also a derivative. Are you taking your lawyer with you? Hello Eldrick,
Our lawyer told us that it is not necessary for him to be present during my husband's interview. Good luck to both of you and my husband. Sana ma-approve pareho :-) Hello alle0674,
Salamat sa reply =) As derivatives, Do we need to show an employment letter or an offer letter? My husband also got his green card couple of months back. And his current salary is way lower than the prevailing wage. Just worried about this. I'm sorry to hear that your employer didn't give you an offer letter. In this case, if asked during the interview, what will your husband show? Salamat! God bless us! Jello Eldrick,
I am actually the primary applicant and I got my green card last July. My employer didn't give me an offer letter (which is really sad because it's them who can't find a new project for me). On the other hand, I just gave birth last June and hopefully that my maternity leave is good enough reason for my being out of work at the moment. My husband though is working on his EAD. He actually has 2 full time jobs and he got employment letters already. Hopefully, that would be good enough. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Hi alle0674,
Are you going to accompany your husband during the interview? Also, does it mean your husband doesnt need to show an employment letter or offer letter from your company? SOrry, I hope I'm not confusing you... Thank you. Hi alle0674,
Are you going to accompany your husband during the interview? Also since your GC has been approved already, does it mean your husband doesnt need to show an employment letter or offer letter from your company? SOrry, I hope I'm not confusing you... Thank you. Hello Eldrick,
Our lawyer instructed us to bring his employment letter. I also need to accompany him during the interview since I am the primary applicant. Thanks. Hello,
Thanks for the reply. So only your husband's employment letter. How about yours? Did your lawyer say anything about your employment letter? Thanks again Yes, only his employment letter. My lawyer said it is not necessary for me to bring an employment letter. But i guess if your husband has one, it's better to bring it.
Thanks ulit.
My husband has one but his salary is probably lower than the salary in labor certification. Thus, IO might question it. That's my main concern actually. Hi,
Can you please share your Interview Experience. I am expecting my Interview Letter from NYC field office. Hi rahmank,
Yes, I have shared my experience in my profile. Interview was good except my medical results was incomplete. Doctor didnt fill up the form completely. Some items/vaccines didnt have the corresponding checks in the boxes. So, I have to do it again. I was given a call back paper and come back on 12/12. He took my I-94 too. Few days back I got another letter. IO resheduled it to 11/28 (day after thanksgiving) instead. It was mentioned in the letter to disregard the 12/12 appointment. Asked me to bring EAD and Advance parole also. Hopefully, by 11/28 my medical is complete and good. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for the help. And also the reason for the interview was my fingerprint was rejected twice. I gave them my police certificate. Thank God I have it handy.
