Long time no hear. I hope your family is doing great. My case is almost finalised now. Our medicals was furthered because repeat X-ray had to be delayed because of pregnancy. But thebaby is born now and all medical results have been sent to Ottawa in April 2008. I am trusting that we will receive passport request soon.
Congrats you are coming to Canada in 2 weeks.Which province are you coming to? Getting a job in Alberta is alot easier when you are already in Canada. Ontario is not too bad in terms of getting a job. It is more diversified and has more immigrant population. Employers are more aware of multiculturalism and more open to employ immigrants. But Alberta is the boomimg place now because of the oil. Calgary, Edmonton are good places in Alberta. Safe journey on your trip to Canada.

Nice to hear from you, its now understandable why your process took the extra long time. Congratulations on the baby, the same thing happened to us except that you dont have to do medicals and file for the baby. More grease to your elbow.
