Posted by hopeless on 24 Oct 2007Have you contacted DOL yourself? Any idea why they are taking your case this long? My LC was filed close to your date and I haven't heard anything yet. My lawyer and employer said that it's in process. My lawyer assumes that maybe my case is in audit but DOL haven't really given a formal information. They said that they tried to email Inquiries but no replies. I emailed DOL myself and all I got is a message that I let the employer/lawyer to contact them directly. They responded very quick. Now, I email my lawyer every week hoping for any good thing but I'm not receiving any emails from her anymore which worries me because it seems that they just let things happen and not do anything about it. They told me to just wait because it's beyond their control. They said they can't force DOL to reply to their inquiries. but it's been taking so long already. I wonder what's going on.
Posted by eternity on 26 Oct 2007Finally my employer and lawyer got together to call. Atlanta has asked for more docs. To me it seems like they lost my application since the documents asked for are practically all of them including the original form. Either this or they lost the electronic version.

I share the helplessness. In my case the lawyer and the employer contacted them. Initially they said contact only after 60 days. This was after 150 days had already passed. I persisted and then contacted again after 2 weeks. Then DOl asked for more documents from us including original form. I have submitted those. No HOPING that the case clears soon.
But it is true there is no accountability at DOL Atlanta, no one can be held responsible for the delays. There is no incentive to make an affort to clear cases sooner. No one in the govt is interested if a few foreigners get screwed. Who invited us here anyways. Anyways.
Our fate is o wait and ETERNITY for somelow level nitwit at DOL to adjudicate and let us now. Till then n external force on this earth can influence them.
