Hi KKdip

I am in same boat and waiting for my parents immigration. My parents had submitted their kit in Delhi in Dec 2007. I saw that your parents are done with the medical. I want to know after submitting the papers in Delhi how many months it took to get the medical request from Consulate.

Regards

Hi kkdip. My parents just received request for medical (Jan 2008) - 7 months after submitting papers in New Delhi as well. Didn't expect it so quickly, but pleasantly surprised.

Does that mean no interview? Do you know how long after medical till request for passport and visa issued (assuming no issues with medical)?

Thanks and congrats,

Hi hsd4,

That's great news. Yes,receiving medical means no interview. We're also waiting for passport request. I don't know how long will it take now, but hopefully 1-2 months. That's what I'm hearing from other people.

Regards,
kkdip

Hi kkdi/kulkulkan/saathi417

Any updates to your parents applications.
My parents applied in Dec'07 but are awaiting any updates/ medical request - based upon 7months timelines it should be June-July'08.
Just curious to know if any of you had a better experience...

Hi kkdip,

Any update? Kana my parents sent medical on Feb 4th (its only been a month) and haven't heard anything. Presumably kkdip is ahead in the line, so I am hoping he will hear something positive REALLY soon....

Cheers and good luck

Congrats. About two months and change from medical sent to passport request.

BTW, Saathi417, the timelines are already in trackit and 7 months from your processing start in Sept 2007 is rougly in April 2008 for medical request. Good luck.

Hi Kkdip,

Had a question.

After your parents received passport request, how much time do they have submit passports? Have they already submitted passports and if so, how long after submitting do you expect them back (or have already received it)?

I expect my parents to get the passport request fairly soon hopefully, but they need to travel to be with us for our baby's birth next month, so timing is an issue for us.

Appreciate a quick response.

Thanks,

Kulkulkan

Congrats and thank you for posting the timelines. Very helpful and much appreciated. Hopefully I will be posting date when my parents received the visa in next couple of months.

Good luck.
