Hello Oboy,
Congratulations on your progress so far. I am amazed about your medicals. So, if you are out of the country, you can do the medicals wherever you find yourself (as long as there is a designated medical practisioner? I would like to talk to you about this. Can we talk off the website?

Hi CamryMaxima:
Thanx. Yes that's correct as long as you have DMP wherever you find yourself....can't we roll the ball here for the benefit of others too? will be back in the u.s asap. I was not given a time constraint to submit my passport though....only was made aware of my visa expiring a year from the date of my medicals.

Hello Oboy,
Clarify me on this. So, if one was on a work visa and moved back home after submitting a full and completed application. Say you are back in Africa or India. A friend receives your mail here and forwards it to you, wherever you are. Can you do your medicals and later on send your passport and fee while still out of the country? Like for you, will you come back here before forwarding your passport? Or can you send it from home? If you don't mind, what is your professional field? Engineering? Nursing? IT? Do you have a PhD or a Masters? I am just trying to figure out that something. I think they process applicants with PhD faster than Masters and faster than Bachelors. I kinda believe that, except I am wrong.

Hi CamryMaxima, I got my masters in civil engineering in the u.s, worked for a while.....yes you can submitt your full application and move back home (india or africa) and your application will still be processed. just make sure you submit EVERYTHING before you leave the u.s.; yes, you can have your correspondence/mail from the CIC forewarded to you out of the u.s.; Pls be aware that because of the recent changes in immigration "policies", NOT every country will allow your passport to be mailed "INTERNATIONALLY". Be also aware that u.s CIC WILL NOT mail passport or any mail to you outside the u.s.; how you get your passport to them is up to you. If the passport reaches them, they will send it back to a u.s address NOT international address. Yes i intend to be in town personally. As to weather Phd, Masters, Bachelor holders differ in processing, i cant say much about that.....i would say it would depend more on your area of specialization. Which state are you in now if you dont mind?

Hi Oboy,
Thanks for the reply. Now I can confidently say that people with PhDs get their applications processed faster than people with masters. People with masters get their applications processed faster than people with bachelors. I have seen the trend on here. I see CIC has been doing what the new immigration law is requiring them to do. As long as you submit a complete application, CIC expediates the applications for people with skills that Canada is in great need of. I believe this to be true. In doubt, ask people you know, about their level of education and profession. Then see how fast their process is. I live in Texas. Houston, Texas. What about you?
