My application was returned back to me with all documents on May 15th ,2008 with just one comment at top Right hand corner of main application form. This comment says "No REP R10 & R11 OK". There is no letter attached to explain on this. I am trying to follow up with Buffalo consulate to understand this comment. I Can't take any action unless I understand the meaning of this comment.

"No rep"==No representative. I.e., you are not using any lawyer, you filed the application yourself.

"R10 & R11 ok"==No idea, but I do not think that it is related to their refusal to accept your application. Mine was returned as well with same notation.

In my case, I forgot to enclose the proof of my current legal status in US (I-797, H1-B stampts, etc.). Maybe you did the same? Look carefully the checklist that CIC buffalo provides (read *every* single line).

Thanks RaySaikat I sent an email to Buffalo immigration and they asked me the resend the application...It seems they returned application without any reason. Hopefully this time my application will go thru the process....

Cheers

Hi,
Same with me. My application was sent back asking me to take IELTS. I have sent the application with IELTS results.
What date should I consider? is it the date stamped on the application or the date they received it second time?
Posted by Ashi on 31 Jul 2008
Hi HC,

I just came to know today that my cheque was encashed on July 24th. I am assuming they considered my application date as second one when I sent the application second time to them.

Muzmil...they never gave me on any detail on what was missing in my previous application. I just resent the application when first time they returned my application.

thank you Ashi for the response.
I understand that you contacted consulate via eamil, can you please share the email and what details you gave them in the email.

Thanks,
Kashyap

KashyapHC I provided the detail on day when my application was delivered to them. I attched the scanned copy of front page of my application which was sufficient for them to pull my record.I hope it helps.

hi - did you get your AOR?
Posted by Ashi on 11 Aug 2008
No I didn't get my AOR. I just received provisional File Number.

hi ashi

thanks a lot for your reply. Can we obtain a provisional file number from CIC even thought we have not received the AOR? In that case can you please tell me what is the process so that I will do the same. Appreciate your response.

santa.

Santa,

Once they encashed my check they sent me the receipt of that and a letter. That letter contains the provisional file number. If your check/moneyorder already got encashed and u didn't get any such letter then only option u have to send the email to them on this. Hopefully they will respond u soon...
