Hi Gpinto, nice to see someone who filed the application around the same time as mine....would like to stay in touch as people like us are already feeling so anxious after the recent proposed immigration changes. Can't do anything than sit and watch :-(

Btw, I'm also from India and stay in US....what is your occupation? I guess our occupations will be a deciding factor for them while choosing the immigration applications.

Hi indmirage, Nice to see a company on the site. Even I am into IT side and also worried about new immigration rules they have put. As per immigration, they will give importance to the NOC codes whihc are in high demand in the Canada job market and per my knowledge IT sector is not much happening in Canada and already there are too many people looking for IT jobs. Hence I am not sure how will they decide on the applications received. Also I have to take my IELTS test, now seeing this I am in dilemma whether to give any importance to it or not..

hi guys,

I filed my app in first week of may. I am in same boat as you...from India/IT background. like qpinto i too am wondering if it will be worth going for IELTS when u dont know if they will even consider ur app.

It seems like CIC has halted all new app processing until they receive instructions from their minister. Any ideas when these rules are going to be public?
