Posted by gcganapati on 17 Jun 2008Canda paralment passed the new immigration bill last week.This bill will effect applications submitted after Feb 28th.So we applied after Feb 28,this makes any problems to our applications ? I applied under programmer/Analysit.Please share your comments ?

I applied via canadian lawyer.Till now i haven't recived any AOR or Provisional AOR.Lawyer tolod me to wait until 120 days.now its been only 97 days..so waiting...waiting...

please check back of dd or cashier check they will provide phone number,call them and find the details weahter your check or dd was cashed or not ?

Few days ago i have received an email from london office informing me that they are processing huge applications and advised me to contact HSBC Dubai to ask them if the bank draft has been cashed or not.
I asked the bank and they informed me that they cant help me on this and advised me to contact HSBC canada which is the same bank that appears in the demand draft that HSBC dubai issued me.
I have contacted HSBC canada and they told me that they cant help me on tracking the demand draft.
my question is, what is the use of all the codes and numbers in the Demand draft????? cant they use these numbers to know if it has been cashed or not , instead of throwing me back to ask the other branch in dubai..?????
anyone with banking experience can assist me on this frustrating banking and financial complicated stuff...!!?!!?

i think cashier check or Demand Draft has validity period of certain time.For example cashier check has 90 days validity period ,i belive you dd has been enchased allready other wise they will sent back the application to you.
