Posted by santatracker on 26 Aug 2008

Hi,
Same with me. I had not sent IELTS score, so they returned the entire application asking me to take the exam.
But there was a date stamp on the application and they asked me to send the apllication along with the letter they sent.

So for tracking purpose you are taking the first date you sent the application correct?
Posted by santatracker on 26 Aug 2008
hi kashyap

what do you mean by 'tracking purpose'? I dont have any file # or anything via which I can check the application status online? Do you have any file # or some other no thru which you are able to check the status?
Posted by mwangi on 07 Sep 2008
santatracker - your application will be treated as received when you have all documents in order, i.e. it is considered received on the date that it is opened when you post it with IELTS. I also resubmitted a Jan document in Marchand it was taken as received post feb 27.

Hi Mwangi,

Thankyou for your post. However, my application was complete at the time it was resubmitted (my initial submission was in April, however my application was returned in June) on 10 June. Its been nearly 3 months since and I havent heard anything from them. I'm getting a bit worried. Do you think it would be wise asking them for a file number even though I have not received the AOR? Appreciate your reponse.

Regards,

ST.

ST, CIC receipt is only effective when they receive ALL documents so when they return it that means they are not satisfied with your submission. My application was returned because I had left a copy of my passport, so everything came back with the cheque.

"We ask that you please do not send multiple copies of the same inquiry. Multiple inquiries delay our reply, since the file is retrieved at each inquiry and placed in sequence as if it were a new inquiry." - http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/abudhabi/IM-enquiries-en.asp

if you communicate with cic you further delay processing of your file, unless they have exceeded the expected timelines.

Hi Mwangi,

Thank you for your reply. In such a scenario, what do you suggest to be done? I resubmitted my application in June, with all the information. I believe it should be complete. Can you please provide some guidance. Appreciate your help.

Regards,

ST.

KashyapHC,

Did you receive your AOR? Also, do you understand what Mwangi is trying to say here? Can you please elaborate.

brothers,

i still have no update on my file # or anything using which i can obtain information on e-cas. Do you think i should send an email to CIC asking them for any information?

appreciate your response.

Santatracker, find out if your money order / cashier's check was cashed before you contact CIC.
