Hi Anita,
My AOR is april 2006. i have been told to wait for 42 months on my aor. what time frame have u been given? do u think they will call us anywhere before 2009?
Posted by anita on 25 Sep 2007
DROZ

I contacted my lawyer and was told that initial document updates are being requested 24 months from AOR. So March 2006 should hear approximately by March 2008.
I hope the whole case clears by 2008

Thanks for writing me Anitap.

Yes I did submit my IELTS score. It was an easy exam. I scored 8 in every module. If you want, you can sit for it by contacting International house in London.

Reading your other comments, and the statistics on this site, I think you are right. We may get the so called 90days letter around Feb or March, 08. But as I understand, nothing is guaranteed.

Thanks topu for your comments.
I have ordered the IELTS material now. Will book soon. Was the conversation part of the exam easy too, what did they ask you?

Hi Anitap:

Sorry for the delay in reply. I didn't realize you response to my previous post.

The speaking part was the most easy bit. On first part they will talk with you about what you do, how do you....stuff like that. The objective is to make you at ease. Then they will tell you to draw a q card with a topic written on to it. You would get 2/3 minutes to think about it. Make some points at this time you wanna talk about. Remember, you can talk wrong about the subject matter, doesn't matter so long your english is grammatically correct. The more you talk the more (statistically) you score. At the thrid phase they would ask you question about what you just told. Carry on the debate...again you can be wrong...but make sure your english is grammatically correct. All the time, there would be a tape recorder recording everything. Ignor that completely. You will be just fine.

Hope Im not too late with these advise. One thing you can do is to record yourself talking. Then listen to it. You can improve yourself a lot by this.

O god..Im acting like a headmaster now......bye...

Hi Anita,
You updated AJIRM's case with a question for me. The IA does not seem to be something that everyone receives. In fact, I wondered what the Trackitt column meant and assumed that I would never get one. It's a single page letter that shows your immigration officer's breakdown of the scores they have given you for each category (age, language, etc).
Take care, DCuz99

Thanks for your comment. Yeah got the update somewhere around 20 July, it was dated 30 June 2008. Well they seem to have asked for IELTS in a very vague way, lawyer asked to do it. Got a date on 30 Aug for IELTS from Eurocentre and now waiting for results which to receive on 12 Sept, then planning to send all docs. to lawyer who plan to send it in time for 30 Sep (90 day limit).
I managed to get the old forms so now filled form and sent to lawyer for checking. They have a new Simplified form which had to fill and the rest was updating. Nothing much changed except for job description and partners job. Lets see if we can send all in time (well we have to)

Thanks topu,

Hi Anita/DROZ/eiveen/pete123,

My AOR 11 May 2006, and updated document request on 30 June 2008. Almost same as yours.

Has CIC communicated to any one requesting mdeicals, or an interview, please let me know?

Actually I have been worried about the same thing. I see a lot of UK nationals after my AOR date getting their medicals. I presumed that maybe because I am not a UK national they may be taking a little more time to process my documents (as they may need to check our Police clerance from other countries) also I have taken the full time until 29 september to send the documents back where as the ones who got medicals have sent documents backs in the same month of receipt of update letter.

What do you say?
Ani

Anita,

Yes, looking at the updates on trackiit, it looks like people who have submitted their documents early, have received medicals.

I am in touch with a consultant and he says, the back ground check takes time, especially if the applicant has lived in more than one country.

By the way i still have to provide PCC from three countries, and i have informed CIC London of the same. Also i have sent an e-mail to CIC London to let me know if they have received my documents.

Unfortunately embassies of the countries i lived in didn’t help me, when contacted they asked me to travel back to country and obtain PCC. Hearing this i have made my travel plans, and i hope to obtain visas on time.

In your case if you have submitted all your documents and you are confident of your points, then you may receive medical request anytime!

Thanks for your message.
I submitted all doucments, including the PC from UK and another country.
I was under the impression that they do background checks after medicals! From my calculations I get above the 67 points, if they do not make any mistakes in calculation then I am confident. My lawyer is sitting in Canada and me in UK, so not sure maybe postal delays also come here.

About your case will CIC wait to issue you medicals after you have sent all your PC reports, is your case on hold until then?

Anita,

Looking at your situation it looks like, you should hear from CHC London requesting medicals any time, and i wish you all the best.
Just keep in touch with your lawyer, to avoid unnecessary delays.

I just learned from one of trackitt member that CIC holds the case for 120 day's, if PCC's are missing. I have request CHC London to let me know extension time for submitting PCC.

Akhaliq

Do you mean to say that it is not necessary to send PCC? What happens after 120 days do they review case if no extension asked and ask for medicals.
I was also wondering what background checks mean? If they then contact the PCC authorities to verify our PCC then there would be the same delay they too to answer us... would it?

Anita,

If i don’t submit PCC within 120 days, my case will be rejected. However i will have a chance to appeal, but then i have to go through lawyer.

Back ground checks are mainly related to PCC’s.

CHC checks, PCC’s with the issuing authorities and this process takes time. That is why, more countries you live in, more time it takes for back ground checks.

Akhaliq
