Have you had your 90 day update letter yet?
Thanks

Hi GoTorronto, sorry I didnt check your comment earlier. Actually even I am desperately waiting for my 90 day letter. All applicants with AOR July 2005 have already got their letters in March & April. According to me, we should get it any moment now.

Hi there. Glad to see you got your update letter. What timeframe did your AOR originally quote you? Ours was 36 months for our app submitted in Nov 2005. Just trying to get a rough idea of when we will receive ours.

Thanks

Kelly

Hi Gottoronto

B I G Congrats, we should be following you soon. Medical results due this week, police certs done, waiting for RPR fees draft to arrive.

We should be landing June/July I think, will make it a vacation for three weeks, me thinks.

Good luck with your news live(s)

Cheers

Hi there
Just wondered (and if anyone else knows, please respond too!), is it realistic to guestimate that currently passport requests can happen a month after medicals (I realise that each case differs, I'm just hoping!) and do you know how long they hold onto the passports for (ie, thus travel to Canada not possible until they are returned)?
Just trying to plan our summer ...
;)
Cheers

Amanda

We have the same problem... Canada House received our police certs and RPR fee on May 1st.
How long before they ask for passports? We want to land in June, but it might be tight, July is more
expensive to fly with FIVE of us, as the airfair is double. Daylight robbery for school holidays, don't you think?

I think the best thing to do is just get everything sent back as quick as possible.
As soon as we get Passport requests, we will keep you updated.

Cheers

Bob

Amanda, Bob....

We did not have this issue... our med request letter asked us to submit passports 30 days after medicals unless we heard otherwise. It's very difficult to predict how fast the passport request will be issued. Adele, for example, got it in less than a month. But I know of a person who waited 4 months. But I think that his case was highly unusual.

Re passports - if you drop them off and collect two days later - it's 14 days exact. Not sure about posting - I think usually you'd get it back in less than 6 weeks.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Do you mean if you drop off and collect in person it's TWO DAYS?

If you post it's TWO weeks?

Two days sounds fine, except for the hassle of getting the 64 miles into London from the south coast.

Please confirm.

Thanks

Bob

I am so very sorry... been losing my head with all the arrangements for the big move. Sadly, I cannot edit my previous post.

I meant 2 WEEKS. You can only deliver/collect passports on Thursdays between 2-3 p.m. You then collect them 10 WORKING DAYS later, i.e. 14 DAYS or 2 WEEKS later.

If you post, it's anyone's guess when they will be returned. According to our letter, if you post them you are not allowed to chase CHC for your passports until 6 WEEKS after sending them.

I strongly suggest submitting in person if time is precious - likely to be much quicker than posting.

Hope that helps and apologies again for the mistake.

No problem.

That's good information, as my job requires me to travel.
I now know that I need to hand deliver them:)

Thanks

Bob
