Hello,

Have you got IA yet?
Have you submitted IELTS with your application?

thx
Posted by gocanada on 10 Dec 2007
I havent yet received IA.

I didnt submit IELTS, just proof of education/work experience in English on a letter to CIC. Hope that'll work.

Just before anybody asks questions about my IA.. here is what I got as part of my IA package:

- IA letter with interview waived
- Medical forms
- Request for Current W2

IELTS or bank statements were not asked. All other docs were sent at time of application. My online status is still 'In Process' and does not worry me.

Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!

How many points did you claim in your application.

Congrtulations,,

Looks like CIC is working very fast in 2008.

Good luck and keep us posted please.

Thanks guys! I dont recall exactly how many points I calculated, but anticipated about 75.
As long as you have the minimum cut-off, you should be fine for further processing.

Go Canada, when did your medical reach Ottawa.......Congrats........
Posted by enggio on 21 Apr 2008
Congrats gocanada. Is your local office Buffalo? and doing your medicals on Feb 13 you already got PPR? That's awesome!! Usually Buffalo takes more tiem than other local offices after medicals but you are very lucky!! It was even less than 2 months as our medicals reached Ottawa probably around Feb 20... congrats again!!

Thanks everyone.. It has indeed been quick. I applied to Buffalo and my file hasnt moved to any local office. I tracked my medical docs sent to Canada and they reached on March 13. I've already paid the fees, so I just have to send my passport for stamping within 60 days.

Congrats man, very impressive. Any tips to submit a succesful application to CIS?

I.e: documents to have ready, when to submit ..etc
Posted by gocanada on 23 Apr 2008
To start with, a well completed application with all necessary supporting documents required by CIS is the key for a smoother processing. Missing docs, inaccurate info can lead to delaying the whole thing. I guess you should spend extra time if needed upfront to put together all this prior to applying.

Hi....How did you track your medical docs sent to Canada? thanks
Posted by gocanada on 30 Apr 2008
The doctor who did the exam, gave me the tracking number of the docs sent to Canada. You may have to check with your examination center if they are willing to share that info. Normally it may be about two weeks from the day you complete your medical exam. One week for them to get the results of your exams and another week for couriering it to Canada.
