Hi Press,
Congrats on your IA. What field are you in? Engineering, Medical, or IT? Are you using a representative? Is the representative in Canada? Did you submit everything with your application? Did you send the fee for the PR with your initial application? Do you have any idea how soon one can expect to receieve IA from CIC? Just share any tips of your experience so far. What makes the process go smoothly.
Camry.

Hi,

Was your case transferred to a local consulate or was the initial assessment directly done.

Thanks for your response.

CamryMaxima,

Using a representative will not make any change in time taken by CIC. It just helps you to not worry about filling any forms / updates. However for any detail, representative also needs to check with you and then only update CIC :)

Usually one send the document when CIC ask for those. Thus they will let you know when PR fee to be sent, when medicals to be done and so on.

Receiving IA from CIC again is not very deterministic. It just depends upon how clear your documents are and what is backlog with consulate office.

I hopt this clear most of your queries. If still have question - feel free to ask :)
