hi Did you submit the application fees of 550 in US or Canadian Dollars?
Do you know if somebody else has submitted check for US Dollar other than me. Thanks I did a US Money order for $550...FYI
Yes I did too.
I have submitted a US cashiers check with $550. Bozo, did they encash your cheque ?
Rkumar, yes they did that on Nov 7th.
Have they receied your application in buffalo yet? Great man u will be getting the AOR soon , my application reached there on 6th Nov, don't know how much time they will take now
congrats Bozo, ur first hurdle is over now
Thanks man wish you good luck too.
hello,
I haven't received any updates from Buffalo CIC It is definitely strange.....so people get the IA done early... many have to wait including me.... i applied a few day after you, nice to hear that you got your AOR, still waiting on mine.......
a nice way to see if everything is going alright is to see if they encashed your cheque or not.
hi
Did u send the IELTS score with the application? If not have they requested that from you, yet Thanks Yes I have submitted it with the pplication and I didnt receive any other letters since I got my AOR.
Thanks Bozo
hi Bozo
Wishing u a happy new year. I am wondering if u have requested CAIPS notes or u know if somebody else with our time frame has gotten a CAIPS report. That will give us a better understanding of expected IA date Thanks Take care Hi toothdoc,
Happy new year to you too. No I haven't requested it yet and I don't know ane did. I guess it will take us lik good 4 more months to get IA. Looks like things are going very slow with nowadays :( Thanks and please keep me posted if you know anything. Regards, Bozo Hi Bozo,
I am still waiting. No IA yet. Do you know approximately when Buffalo sends out IA? Let me know. Hi CamryMaxima,
Average is usually 2 to 6 months from the day of the AOR but it depends on each case. Regards, Hi Bozo,
Yes it is an IA, and I have done the medical on February 8th. The practitioner said it takes him 2 weeks to do the paperwork and send it to Otowa, which I guess is a bit long. Do you know how others track their medicals until it reach Otowa? The doctor office where I went to do the medical told me we will take care of sending the results within 2 weeks, but I am curious how others manage to track it if they did not send the results themselve (which is a requirements from the immigration)? If you know please let me know. bozo,
No mention about points for IA CIC asking for employment letter, work area from current employer. Medical. Interview waived Hi Bozo,
I have a question, and I will be greatly appreciated if you can answer me. I already submitted FBI and egyptian police clearence forms with the original application. Also, I am done with the medical 4 weeks ago, and they received it in Ottawa last week. Do you know whether they will ask for another clearence before PPR? If yes, please let me know as it takes time to do both. Thanks Hi Jimmy,
As far as I know if they didn't ask for it with the IA then you are good. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, hey Bozo, new to this forum. I applied around mid Jan. 2008 and waiting for AOR-little worried bcoz its already 2 months.
any comment? good luck and stay in touch. Hello tangocharlie,
Don't be worried it taes up to 3 months nowadays .. the best thing to do to make sure that your application has been accepted to check with your bank if they cashed the cheque or not. God luck I sent IELTS on 31st Jan and i don't know why they asked me for the interview.
sorry i forget to say hi and write ur name and my name.
to bozo from manna Hi Bozo,
How are you doing? It has been more than two months since I had my MED done, and my ECAS is still like day one: We started processing you application ...... Is true that if I email them to inquire about my application status it will further delay my application? I see people have their MED done after me and got their PPR, but at the same time others had their MED done in NOV 07 and started receiving their PPR!!!!!!!! regards, Jimmy hi bozo, any news about IA?
Hi tangocharlie, Nothing yet I am expecting it to be in June sometime.
hey bozo, congratulations. big hurdle is over.
Hi tangocharlie,
Thanks a lot wish you the same thing. hey bozo..

I dont see why you need CAIPS...shrey, doesnt understand why one needs CAIPS...wants everyone to order..lol if u need one in future do so online...http://caips.ca/...cheers
Hey datt3n,
Thanks a lot yeah it is funny lol ... but you know what I was about to order it but decided to wait for a month or so. good luck Hi Bozo...u seem to be going at a jet pace with the immigration....had a question...what do they do for the medicals...thanks...abie.
Hi datt3n,
Thanks, they asked for chest X-rays, urine and blood analysis including HIV test. hey one question bozo...how many points r u claimin... and which field... how may years of experience in u r field..regards..
Hi Shrey,
as far as I remember it was btw 68 to 70, I am in the computer field with about 4 years of experience. Regards Hi Bozo - Thanks for your suggestion for calling my bank - I did and found out that my RPRF was encashed. They will usually do that when PPR is the next step.
timeline: -IA/medical/interview waiver: Mar 3rd 08 -Medicals sent to Ottawa: Apr 4th -RPRF sent: May 9th -RPRF encashed: May 20th 08 Hi MolecularMan,
That's great so hopefully they will cash mine soon. by the way keep an eye on ecase because it should change to medicals received right before you got your PPR. Keep me posted. Hi Bozo,
They have not yet asked me to send the RPRF :) Neo Hi Neo,
Please check your IA again they always ask for the RPRF with the medical forms, I am not trying to scare you but that what happens with all ppl. Bozo Hi Bozo,
Thanks for your input. I again checked my IA Letter from end to end and they did not mention anything w.r.t RPRF. All they asked was about W2 and Medicals. I think I should contact the consulate through an email to clarify if I should pay my RPRF or wait for their instructions. Just out of curiosity, was the request to pay RPRF as part of the main body of the IA letter, or was it a seperate sheet in the letter asking for the RPRF. Thanks for your help. Neo. Hi Neo,
Yes it was part of the IA letter. I guess they might request it with the PPR in your case. Bozo well ya i am waitin for IA...but i got a query from buffalo askin me to send them my tax papers from india so i am sending them by next week.. well my lawyer tells me its regular procress... nothin to worry about..and she is givin me big thumbs up about medicals.... because..my file already have been assessed and if they wanted to give me interview they would have gave me at this moment instead of askin me tax papers... so next step i am hopin they will give me medicals...soon...
about 20 points...they gave me 20 points at the time my caips issued..so i was pretty early ...just earlier... Oh I see so may be by the time you send your tax return you will get the rest of the points.
Tell me do you have US education or US work experience ? Are you on H1b or F1 visa? Thanks Bozo...I'm rooting for you. I'm very confident you will get PPR by the end of September...just 2-3 more months.
Congrats !!
Stay in touch thx a lot, good luc for you
Bozo, when they cash RPRF after medicals means PR is soon? anyone can answer this question.
they cash PPR in all the cases. but it is a good sign for sure, at least they got your PPR and documents.
Hi Bozo, Can u advice me for I'm new to the application. I'm here in U.S but wants to apply for GC in canada. I did a self assessment test on CIC but got just 68 points even with my degrees obtained both in Africa and U.S. Do you think the point can be approvable? Also, does every foreigner submit Ielts test scores or will it be requested before you submit it? Any advice will help. Please reply. thanks!
Hi Jerry2121,
Yes if you get 68 points you will get approved for sure. regarding your degrees I think they will get approved without any problems as long as they are from kind of known universities. Regarding IELTS from what I have seen here and in some other forums if the applicant is claiming high level they will ask him to appear for IELTS. regards, Thanks Bozo for the reply! I will like to take the IELTS just in case. I will keep you posted. I wish you the best in Canada!
Hi Bozo,
First and foremost, congratulations on your PR approval. Wishing you all the very best in Canada. In your notes, you have mentioned "visa received in person...." . Does that mean, instead of sending (by post) your passport(s) for visa stamping, you went to the Canadian consulate and got the visa stamped in person? If yes, which place (NY, buffalo???) did you get the visa stamped? Did you have to get an appointment? Or did you just walk-in? We too are planning to do the same (hopefully, I should be getting my passport requests soon, is my guess) and hence any info you provide regarding this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Regards, Achlu001. Hi achlu001,
Thanks a lot I wish you get your PPR soon too. Yes i went in person instead of sending it by post as I have some other visas in my pp and I was afraid to get it lost. So my file was in buffalo and they allow ppl to walk in btw 8 to 11 on Tuesday and thursday but every office is different so you need to check with NY office before you go there. Thx again and let me know if you have any further questiosn. Bozo Yippee Bozo, congratulations! Haha I landed on Saturday at Pearson - 1 day after you!
Congratulations Bozo and good luck for your Canadaian Future
Hi rkumar, Thx a lot wish you PPR very soon too.
No, we didn't use a lawyer, did it all ourselves :D
COngrats Bozo!!! I just noticed that u got your PPR. Enjoy it!
Thx Jerry, I wish you all the luck too.
Hi, Bozo.
I have some questions: My medicals are done and sent by doctors in July 22, 2008. I sen also the updated FBI, bank statament, RPRF fee as required. The problems is my wife is pregnant and waiting to give a born in January 09. It means she didn't have a Xray. 1. What is the next step? Does the Embassy give a letter about waitng for baby born? 2. Do I need to apply for baby also? The baby will be american citizen, we are in US. 3. What do you want me to do? thanks I havn't been in that situation but as far as I know you need to send them a letter letting them know that u can't do x-rays now so they give you more time instead of only 60 days for medicals, then you will need to add your new born baby to the application and pay the fees for sure and then u will be good..
right now just make sure that you send them al etter or something so they extend your limit and get ur wife's medical done right after maturity. also I have seen some other member here who had the same situation so try to look up him and send him a msg ... Good luck
