Hi Kiragoescanada,

If you don't mind, can you please give details of your application?
1. What was the score with which you applied? what was the basis - like Masters, worked in Canada, etc.
2. Do you live in the US or Canada?
3. Have you submitted the PCC and FP too with your application?
4. Are you applying alone or with family?
5. Did you send only the processing fee initially? Or had you sent the PR fee too?
6. I assume you had sent a letter to prove your english proficiency. Can you please let us know what you had shown as proof of your proficiency too?

Your response will definitely answer many of the unanswered questions for us, who are anxiously waiting here....

Thanks in advance for your response.

Best Regards,
Achlu001.

Achlu001,

This was brothers app. Answering questions:

1/ Score he had in his app was 78 I believe. He has a BA (St. Xaviers, Calcutta) and an MBA (IIM Ahmedabad). He currently works for a large international financial organization (think Wash DC). He has NEVER been to Canada.
2/ He lives in Los Estados Unidos.
3/ Yes. PCC submitted from India, USA, and Brasil (where he worked for the Indian Trade Mission). Whats FP?
4/ Alone.
5/ Sent both fees simultaneously.
6/ Letter sent. University degrees. Work proof. Recent Journal and magazine articles.

Hope this helps. I cannot believe he has got through!

Cheers,
A.

Hi A,

A big congrats to your brother.
And thanks for answering all my Qs.
FP is Finger Printing - the means to get the PCC in US.
For English proof, you have mentioned Recent Journal and magazine articles. Does that mean your brother had published some articles in magazines? Thatz great!!

Anywayz, congrats once again.

Best wishes,
Achlu001.

KiragoesCanada, congratulations! I'm assuming your brother is applying under the Federal Skilled Worker program. Does he have an arranged employment?

I also received my IA in record time. I'm currently waiting for my PPR letter. I know what you mean when you said that you're not mentally prepared for this. I also thought my IA would arrive a year from the AOR date. But, to my shock, I got it in 15 days! WOW! My head was spinning. I really couldn't believe it! But, now that I have had time to let reality sink in, I'm extremely grateful for this wonderful blessing. I'm so excited and I'm very much looking forward to settling in Canada!

Congratulations, once again! Now, comes the difficult part of moving. ;)

Achlu001: Yes, he had sent in his FP card from the US as mentioned. And yes, he has been published in a few Economic journals. Thanks for the wishes. I think he is in shock.

Beach247: He had NO arranged employment and has never even been to Canada. Yes, he applied under FSW.

Cheers,
A.

If its only April, why not wait and apply? This way you'd be sure?
