It may have gone to USCIS for IBIS security check. What I have heard is that DOS runs its own security checks but from time to time it also requests USCIS to complete the IBIS security checks.

This is just my opinion and it could be wrong.

P.S. All I-129 applications from candidates residing in the US are subjected to mandatory IBIS security check by USCIS.

Hi, Thanks for the info.

do you have any idea on how long this might take for IBIS security checks? and any quick approval chances after this?

Thanks,
Homer

Users, can we change our case to Premium Processing once it has gone into 221(g) "Administrative Processing" query.
