I am about to apply for UK tier one Visa (general).For the same I need to fill the two forms VAF 9 and Appendix -1.
I have a query about Appendix one form which is as follows:
In the Part 3,section 3.2. of appendix 1 form it states that "Please indicate your method of degree verification Put a cross (x) in the relevant box".The relevant box is" Qualification on the UK NARIC database".
My question is how do I know that my qulification is on UK NARIC database or shall I assume that if my qualification is on the Self assesment tool it should also be avilabe on UK NARIC database.But Assumption is a big Risk.So I wanted to confirm.
Second thing I understand from this discussion is that if suppose in the application form I mention that my I intend to be in UK on 30th Sep 08 I can book hotel in UK from 29th Sept 08 to 15th Sep 08 and show it as my proof of accommodation in Uk to immigration authorities it would be OK.
Please confirm

Posted by bkarthikisc on 11 Jul 2008Hi rajeev, For the qualification check the points calculator in the http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator. See if your university appears there - then you are good to go on that.

I had submitted my application from UK. The documents that i had submitted for funds maintenance was a letter from the bank that stated that i have had a minimum balance of 800 GBP in my acount for the last three months and my current account balance. Thats it.
Alternatively you can submit the bank statement for the last three months- ensure that the minimum amount at any point in the last 3 months is 2800 GBP

I send urgent treatment on Monday 18th by Fax 2-3 time and then post it recieved on Tuesday.
I found them too friendly after my urgent treatment request(Project Manager write a letter explaining that I will be on bussiness travel in early sep for which passport required to process visa).

Congratulations for your new job.
There is no way of ensuring that our urgent treatment request gets picked up... The customer service jus tells us the status on their system and i am sure that the status they have is not an online status.

Posted by bkarthikisc on 26 Aug 2008Called up HO now...A decision has been reached on my case and they have dispatched my documents this morning. The HO person said that the decision cannot be revealed over the phone and i would have to wait for the documents to know the decision.
Praying that it should be a positive decision...Will be getting my documents on Thursday only
