hi, how did you receive the reference number, by mail or you called HO to know the reference number?

I had call HO, customer care personal said, they can give staus if case is withen service period. Still Waiting ..hope it clears thr.

It was delivered by Royal Mail - via - Local Post office.

Even I have got a mail that my decision letter was sent on 8 jan, 2008 (same as yours0 . I havent got the papers yet. Should I contact local post office.
Any pointers? please reply skhsmp......I am a bit worried abt the docs and i havent arranged fr pickup.

Ya, I had the same case. I also got the mail stating 8th Jan dispatch. So I went to the local post office (on 22nd) and found my papers lying there.
It will be good idea to paya visit for sure!!

hi, skhsmp. thnks for your quick reply. Today( 22 jan) i contacted my local post office at chennai. They are completely unaware of royal mail. How to approach them. Wht to ask them. Are there any indian postal stamps on it. is it a speed post. Which part of india do u belong to? help please

It has a royal Mail stamp. Just ask for Air Mail from UK at the Indian Post office.
They will know. Let them you are expecting an air mail from UK.
I am from north india.

hi,

congrats on getting ur HSMP approved. are you from hyderabad.

if you dont mind can you tell me about the description of the cover in which your docs were sent. I mean the dimensions and color of it. Coz my docs were dispatched on 16th Jan and i havent got them yet. Am in the process of tracing my documents now. Dont know if its approved or not and also the HO said they dont keep any information about the tracking number.

congrates u ve applied for EC .....I saw your postings on HSMP Forum.
I need u r help I will be thankful to you if you guide me.

I have gotta HSMP approval letter from HO dated 22 April 2008 it mentions I need to apply under
as per new Tier-1(General) system.

1.What forms need to be fille up? its only VAF9A and VAF9B or VAF2 also needs to be filled up?so total 2 forms or 3 forms?
2.Can I download these forms from the website n fill it up or I need to be collected from the VFS office itself?
3.Which all supporting documents u ve submitted?
4.Do I need a proof of staying arrangments in UK or just proper address with all contact details will be suffice?
5.How much fees u have paid?
6.Do I need confirmed employment in UK?
7.Any general suggetions you would like make?

I am really confused with this new (Tier-1 general) procedure.
plz guide me
