I applied for OPT on July 21st and it was approved on Oct 10th but they did not mail my card even today...I don't know what the heck they are doing man...VSC is the slowest processing center i think...Do any one have any contact information for VSC...

Thanks
Posted by gomzeeee on 05 Nov 2008
hello konduru..
generally they say it takes upto 30 days for the card to reach you by mail.
but if you still donot get it you can contact them by using infopass option (http://infopass.uscis.gov) or contact them by calling at (800) 375 – 5283

Thanks for ur reply gomzeeee...

I called USCIS customer care several times and also i went to field office couple of times and the lady's response over there was not so good...I mean she is just telling that she does not know any information and u have to just wait for ur card...I asked that lady for VSC contact details but she refused to give it...I was wondering if u know any contact information for VSC...

Gomzeee, thanks for your comments. What do you think is the impact of NSEERS on this process?
Posted by gomzeeee on 10 Nov 2008
as far as opt is concerned i guess there should be no problem as it is not visa status change.
Posted by skonduru on 10 Nov 2008
congrats for the approval...
Posted by OPTisMINE on 10 Nov 2008
Do you mean that I might have a problem if I were to go for a visa change, say from F-1 to H1-B? Thanks for your comments.
