Hi Joycelyn:

I see you've submitted your application and got your AOR was received Sept 2006. Then developments (i.e. Documents Requested ) followed Jan 2008, only. Does it normally take that long?

I also applied under the MPNP. Then I received a letter (dated December 2007) confirming that they have recieved my application. But no file number for me enclosed. Would that bring with it some 'good' signs ? Would you have learned from any of your experiences that could suggest how to expedite approval? Like probably most....I'm just out to provide for a better future for my family. Nagtatanong lang... Thanks and good luck !

Hi, Jocelyn!

I am not really sure whether receiving an AOR is already a good sign. But there's no real harm in thinking positive di ba? Anyway, the process seemed to have changed since my brother's and then my sister's applications. In their case, they were able to leave within about a year of their application. Mine has taking a little longer since nasabay ako sa maraming nag-apply. Pero it's going along just fine, i guess. Where did you submit your application ba? Ours were submitted in Winnipeg under family support stream. The other streams take longer yata, i think even longer if dito ka nag-apply pero depende rin siguro sa inapplyan mong classification/stream.

As to your question about expediting your application, i really don't know how, unless maybe you change categories to investor :). We thought of going there even though the application was active pero di na namin tinuloy. Kasi we'd have to come home pa daw before finally settling there. I don't know for sure. Sayang din ang gastos if ever magbalikan pa kami di ba?

Anyway, just keep a positive attitude and hopefully maapprove na rin kayo. Good luck na lang sa atin.
