Hi, welcome to a long stressful process, and mne was straight forwardish. I had my interview waived as I had been in French school when I was young but I know plenty of people who did the interview. French has to be good, it is the only reason I have known anyone to be turned down, you need to be able to hold a conversation even if it is not perfect as almost every job in QC would need that even if you wokr in English. Nobody I know was asked cultural questions, its mroe along the line of why do you wnaty to be here, what do you plan to do, what is byour education, hoiw/where are you learning french, what do you like in QC. They liek to hear that you will be having children and that you will ensure you will expose them to french, though I know people who were accepted who were quite open that they were gay at interview so its not essential. Provided you cme across competent in french they will probably give you a CSQ on the spot and you will then apply to Buffalo, prepare yourself for Buffalo in advance and start acquiring the various docuemntations such as police reports as some of those can take months to obtain so the clock may as well start ticking now, that was my main fialing in the whole process, not looking at federal until (3 months) after getting the CSQ. Good luck
