Try http://pds.pbls.doleta.gov/

What you tried is USCIS; you'll need that too, but not at this stage.
LC (Labor) via PERM goes through DOL.

With that approved in hand, you'll go to USCIS for I-140 and I-485... but first things first. :-)

Best of luck.

Thanks guys for your answer. What is my step here after this??? Actually my case is in process from last week as my email indicated from lawer. I might need to wait to answer from my lawer or employer. But should I wait for them or there is a step ahead to find out if my process is completed??? Any info welcome.

Well, go to http://pds.pbls.doleta.gov/ and see what status does your PERM case number returns. Possible statuses on that same link. When it'll be certified, your employer will be able to file I-140, or maybe both I-140 and I-485 depending on whether you'll be EB-2 or EB-3... There are a lot of things, you can start browsing the forums but maybe it's a bit early in the process to bother with that. Better enjoy the holidays. :-)

when I asked the HR for the case number, she answered:

"You can’t track a PERM case on line. That is not a feature the department of labor offers for the alien."

is it true or for some reason she just doesn't want to disclose?

PERM cases starting with A*** can be checked only by your employer or filed attorney. Yes, you can check status on PERM case only if your employer adds to their online access profile I guess

Is there a way to find out which month of which year LC they are reviewing now, so based on that we could get an estimate

Sheker: You need tio have the username, the password and The A#. Your employ can provide you with these information, your lawyer will not do it.
the website is:
http://www.plc.doleta.gov/eta_start.cfm?actiontype=home&CFID=3218282&CFTOKEN=69338653
let me know if you have aquestion with that, u need to enter the username and password after that it asks about the A#-----

You will have to ask your employer to create a user id and password, so that u can login and view the status of your case
