I agree. It should be more of encouraging and cheerfulness to show "Thank You". I am in for flowers. No date is better than another so 7.23.
I am far off in LC queue ( May 29) but I guess my dissappointment is no less. Please join in.

The News is about to flash ... they are making it current for all until Aug 17th ... so our count down already has began ... if we miss this oppurtunity we might have to wait for years together ...who knows hw long ... lets make all possible communications to atlanta center now and make them understand the situation and the fiasco we are in....

UPDATE AT 3:15 PM EST TUESDAY: The latest update we received is the annoucement to be made soon will be as follows:
DHS will be rescinding its July 2 update and the initial July Visa Bulletin will take effect for 31 days – i.e., all employment-based green card categories (except for the “Other Workers” category) will be “current” and CIS will accept applications through August 17.
DHS will issue a press release to this effect later today.

If we communicate in a proper way with the Atlanta Center and if we explain our plight, they listen us and help us in catching this boat. So guys, its up to us.

Sometimes I could not understand. There are so many perm applicants filed in April, March and even some Feb. why they are just keep waiting? I do not believe they register here and forget this forum completely. But just so quiet. waiting, waiting could not solve the problem. If Atlanta carried out some backlog cleaning policies, 90 days are the maximum processing time. everybody will benefit from it.

Friends, Looks like the Flowers worked well for USICS ... we should be doing the same for Atlanta center too... But i would suggest we act quickly .... as the countdown has already began ... any sooner will be good ...
..offcourse doing it on coming Monday is never a bad idea ...but i feel earlier the better .... as we have now just 4 weeks to count for ....my 2 cents

another thing of concern is we dont have any updates for today ...no clue as what are they working on ... we would be happy to see atleast one or 2 A DAY and follow the trend ... guys if u have any pls comment /update...

Theres no doubt of I-485 becoming current again. May be its today or tomorrow just a matter of time.

That's good news ONLY as long as we don't miss the bus this time also.
I guess all of us would have been blaming ATL for not being able to file in Jul if it had not been taken off on Jul 2.
Now, we just got another 31 days ( may be starting today) and our ONLY chance to make it.
"Thank You ATL for your recently increased efforts. Please allow us to make it from DOL to USCIS this time."

The following memo from DOS to CIS says it all:
July 2, 2007
TO : CIS Section 245 ADJUDICATIONS
FROM : Immigrant Visa Control
SUBJECT : Authorizations for Employment CASES
Effective Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations in response to requests for Employment-based preference cases. All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available. Employment preference numbers will once again be available to these chargeability areas beginning October 1, 2007, under the FY-2008 annual numerical limitation.
The above action is a direct result of the sudden backlog reduction efforts of CIS offices during June and the first few days of July. During this short time period over 60,000 requests have been received and authorized. This is in comparison to the 66,425 CIS requests which were authorized during the first eight months of the fiscal year.
Please be sure that this information is passed to all personnel involved in the process of obtaining visa authorizations from the Visa Office for Section 245 cases.

The nightmare finally came. All July is current again. feel sorry for myself. feel more sorry for those filed in Feb, march and april, who have not been approved by Atlanta. If everybody followed new2perms to really do something at that time, the result might be completely different now. So far, just 10 join in for flower campaign. really frustrated.

The fact that there are no visa numbers available does not mean that they will not let you file your 485 petition - they will probably come out with a separate statement about Aug 17 - they will accept the 485's for next month, and you will be eligible for EAD & Advance Parole, however your 485 will not be adjudicated until your PD becomes current again - and this might take years. You might not receive the green card for a few yearsbut the EAD & Advance Parole give you benefits close to what the green card would give you.

Anyone knows whether we could file 485 with a 'certified' in on-line status but not the paper approval? There is another 2 weeks in between! Cannot think of the fact that we only miss for a few days...

Let me give you advice guys. Don’t waste you valuable time. Be patient. As we know lot of unskilled people are coming this county by DV visa. We are paying high taxes but Govt are ignoring us. Just noting to do…………………

It seems I-485 status for all Jul is current and for August its unavailable under all Employment based Categories.

After consulting with Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Visa Office advises readers that Visa Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for purposes of determining Employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) is hereby withdrawn.
E. AUGUST EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY
All Employment-based preference categories are “Unavailable” for August. At this time, it is uncertain whether any numbers will be returned and can be reallocated at a future date. Until informed otherwise, all readers should assume that the categories will remain unavailable until October, which is the beginning of the new fiscal year.
