Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center
Posted by pcsankar73 (138) 17 Jul 2007
Guys ..we might be screwed for a big time .... we can file with online approval infact but will we be able to reach that within 2 weeks ???

DOS has released this for visa numbers and July ... but USICS has yet to relase the same for receiving applications ...they might say until 17th Aug as there was 15 days lost during this month ...this is my guess (as per immigrationvoice).... we will see ...

regarding the current available 2 weeks ... is this really enough even to raise a voice and be heard by Atlanta center .... i have so far tried all means ..sending flowers , emails , fax , calls .... asked my employer to calll .... no significant movement ... i would say that if somebody in May is certified thats their luck ... you guys will remember when Feb was processed some applicants in April was certified ..same trend i am seeing here ..nothing spl abt you making noise and getting approved immly ... but if we all make noise then we will be heard as a whole to speed up the process ....

Hope is my very last hope !!! Lets all Hope for the best !!!

D. JULY EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY
After consulting with Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Visa Office advises readers that Visa Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for purposes of determining Employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) is hereby withdrawn.
E. AUGUST EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY
All Employment-based preference categories are “Unavailable” for August. At this time, it is uncertain whether any numbers will be returned and can be reallocated at a future date. Until informed otherwise, all readers should assume that the categories will remain unavailable until October, which is the beginning of the new fiscal year.

USCIS Announces Revised Processing Procedures for
Adjustment of Status Applications

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that,
beginning immediately, it will accept employment-based applications to adjust status (Form I-
485) filed by aliens whose priority dates are current under the July Visa Bulletin, No. 107.
USCIS will accept applications filed not later than August 17, 2007.
On July 2, 2007, USCIS announced that it would not accept any additional employment-based
applications to adjust status. USCIS made that announcement after receiving an update from the
Department of State that it would not authorize any additional employment-based visa numbers
for this fiscal year. After consulting with USCIS, the Department of State has advised that
Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for
purposes of determining employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108
(dated July 2) has been withdrawn.
“The public reaction to the July 2 announcement made it clear that the federal government’s
management of this process needs further review,” said Emilio Gonzalez, USCIS Director. “I
am committed to working with Congress and the State Department to implement a more efficient
system in line with public expectations.”
USCIS’s announcement today allows anyone who was eligible to apply under Visa Bulletin No.
107 a full month’s time to do so. Applications already properly filed with USCIS will also be
accepted. The current fee schedule will apply to all applications filed under Visa Bulletin No. 107
through August 17, 2007. (The new fee schedule that becomes effective on July 30, 2007, will
apply to all other applications filed on or after July 30, 2007).

Guys, let us give one last push to Atlanta perm center. We still have 31 days. If we can make it, that would be really great. Flowers are a great idea. As I read in other forums, e-mails and phone calls do not reach them properly. It is the operator who normally handles them and we get standard replies.

Please do send a letter through Post to the concerned authorities. They would definitely look into paper mail.

The team spirit in flower campaign and san jose rally maded the impossible to happen - reversal of july bulletin. If we put similar effort, I'm sure we can achieve too.

I am still waiting for my PERM approval (filed March 9).
To take advantage of this new VB, getting approval by 8/17 (and of course the docements ready) will do?
Is it not necessary to have it approved by 7/31?

I have been calling DOL @ 202-693-2700 daily - this is the office of Ms. Emily DeRocco, DOL Asst Sec. The lady who answers the phone is polite and empathetic unlike Ms. Henderson who is rude
Pl. call this # above and emphasize the disparity between the two centers, lack of equity, etc, etc.

It is difficult to reach a 'live' person in the Atlanta ctr although you may be able to reach Ms. Renatta Jones @ 404-893-0102 - I think she is the mgr for this ctr.

johnmt100 ,

You are right johnmt100, If you apply earlier your application has to be processed earlier in a FIFO(first in first out) manner.
But, if they dont process at all or process slowly like now then whats the use of FIFO also? So all of us have to put our efforts to expedite the process time which eventually turns on your case approval!

Looks like ATL center is working on computer glitches, hence we are not seeing any approvals. I was told by my employer that one of his application which was filed in late June got rejected with some vague reason and when his attorney contacted the ATL Labor Dept. yesterday they asked him to ignore the rejection as it was system generated which is currently having a glitch and are in the process of fixing it....Hope they have taken care of it by now and started working on processing the apps...

I requested my employer to give online screen shot. He got offended and started giving me execuse that the attorney is in India. Any help on this is appreciated. And by the way please do not join Ace Technologies Inc it is scrwed up company. I have 1 GC denial and 2 I -140 denials and I have denial letter from USCIS stating that company is doing illegal business in US....

Please be careful with corrupt atty. in US. I am praying for me and everybody in forum for PERM approvals from ATL to grab the opportunity of current dates till Aug 17th...

Raghu,

"A" stands for Atlanta, so Yes your case should be in Atlanta. Chicago cases have "C" prefix. Even is he gave youa screen shot, the application # does not show name of benefiaciary. So, I guess, the only way out is politely, respectfully, ask you attorney. These are their 31 days. They would do whatever the F* they feel like with their clients.

What Stlarch said above, it may be true ( no other verification tho) as there are ABSOLUTELY NO APPROVALS/DENIALS today. Or people (no one at all) just didn't update their profiles, which does not sound right.

Hopefully they fixed the Glitch in their G and would start working now. Tomorrow will show.

KEEP UPDATING PEOPLE.

June22PERM is right, we should take the help possible. We should pleed in front of ImmigrationVoice.Org to help us make DOL hear what we are going thru.

One of you all.. frustrated,
D.

I sent the following letter to DOL ppl as well as Atlanta center

Thank you very much for working on PERM applications in full swing.

In a press release yesterday, the USCIS has announced that it would accept the applications for Adjustment of Status (I 485) only till August 17, 2007, after which a heavy retrogression for several years is anticipated.

This is a narrow window for thousands of legal, tax paying immigrants who are counting on you for their PERM approvals and hence holding on to their hope of filing their I 485 before August 17, 2007.

I hereby request you to kindly expedite the process and help us keep our hopes and aspirations alive.

Thank you
